Two days later, an important business meeting was scheduled.

The meeting room door opened.

I looked up.

My heart stopped.

Ethan.

My first love.

The boy who had rejected me.

He looked exactly as handsome as I remembered.

But something had changed.

I didn't feel the same way anymore.

Adam noticed him looking at me.

He didn't look happy.

After the meeting, Ethan approached me.

Ethan: "If I had known you'd become this beautiful, I wouldn't have rejected you."

I forced a smile.

Ethan: "Would you have dinner with me?"

Nora: "Sure. But let's go with everyone on Saturday."

I didn't want anyone thinking I was interested in Ethan.

And I certainly didn't want anyone thinking I was interested in Adam because he was rich.

The next morning, Adam arrived early.

He wanted to see me.

But when I saw his car, I stayed inside until Tia and Ava arrived.

Later, Adam called me into his office.

Adam: "Are you avoiding me?"

Nora: "No, Sir."

Adam: "Then why haven't you looked at me all morning?"

I didn't know how to answer.

Suddenly, the door opened.

Ethan walked in.

Ethan: "Sorry to interrupt."

Adam's expression hardened.

Ethan looked between us.

Ethan: "It seems I interrupted something."

Neither of us answered.

The tension in the room became unbearable.
