"Helloooo "The voice said again "please don't be cute"
"please don't be cute "I looked up and I was wrong like really wrong he wasn't cute he was beautiful like jaw dropping, and I wasn't the only one that noticed it I could see Cassie from the corner of my eyes trying to get his attention,Even my mom was attracted to him I mean who wouldn't but that's weird right seeing your mom attracted to someone old enough to be her son.
I was still staring like an i***t all this without speaking a word and then I realized that I haven't properly acknowledged his presence,he probably thinks am weird ? everyone thinks am weird. Looking up slowly I kept on saying in my mind
"Please don't think am weird"
"Please don't think am weird"
"pleasssee"
Surprisingly,his eyes didn't say that I could see curiousity and amusement in his eyes and did I say his eyes were beautiful and for the first time I finally understood what's called dreamy eyes.
Anyway moving on to reality
I finally said Hey and yes I can speak
"Hey am Madeline, and you are?"
"Am Liam" he said.
"What can I do for you Liam"
"Oh honey he's here to tell you that you won a vacation to the the crystal peak park" my mom said.
"I won a vacation??"
"When?? how??"
"I don't remember taking any test or competition, I think"
"Yes you did Maddy, he's talking about the test you took last year before Halloween, the one about pack conflict or something like that whatever you nerds do I really don't know"Cassie said.
"Leave it to Cassie to explain things properly " I thought.
Ohhh yeah I remember,my literature class took a test Last year.
"Wait I thought the prize was new computers for the school" I asked Liam.
Well you were the only one that wrote a decent essay that caught the Alpha king's eye ,but the actual price still stands.
"Waitt no way" both me,my mom and sister said at the same time
"The alpha king??"
"Yes,he loved your essay and he's inviting you to spend your spring holiday at the Crystal peak pack,if you're interested? he asked"
It felt more like an order to me .
"Yesss she's very much interested" my mom said .
Great not asking what I want typical, thanks mom I thought.
Forcing a smile I said"of course "
"Great I'll see you next month then "he said walking towards the door
Someone will come pick you up,be ready okay" Again another order I mean is anyone not seeing this am being forced against my will and I have plans for this spring break.
As soon as he left I was ready to let out a scream at my mom asking her why she didn't ask what I wanted first, but as usual my mom notorious for getting out of trouble after causing one herself lets out a loud giggle someone a mile away could hear it
"Am so excited you finally get to do something fun for once" she said.
Replying back I said that
"I heard that mom"
Why didn't you ask me first I said calmly" Crap am supposed to be angry I hate this stupid attitude of mine am always the calm always the nice always the one that that apologieses and am sick of that.
"But I thought you would want to go, I mean who wouldn't want to go, it's the crystal park for God's sake. It's everyone's dream to go there it was once mine you know" she said
"But am not everyone or you mom"
"I've noticed" she replied.
"Can you just listen to me for once" I cried out.
"Okay am sorry, but you're not rejecting the offer, I mean it she yelled out a little bit.
Great leave it to my mom to make an apology sound like an order.
"Do you know how lucky you are"Cassie finally spoke out, I was starting to think she had gone dumb (literally this time) cause she's was talking always, wanting to get the spotlight on her and am the actual opposite.
"I would kill to get to go to the crystal pack" she spat.
"Well why don't you go then" I retorted
"I wish"She yelled this time
"Girls that's enough I don't any of your stupid unnecessary bickering" my mom ordered.
"Now dear we have some shopping to do I don't want you going there and making out of yourself with those things you call clothes"
'But mom they're called hoodies and they're super comfy"I grinned.
"Can you wear a hoodie to a ball?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
"Welll maybe" I said back.
"Christ she's hopeless"Cassie said before stomping upstairs to her room.
Can we go shopping later I begged
Nooo way I know you you're just going to be pushing it off until the day you're about to leave that trick isn't going to work again
But..
"No buts"
"Alright fine let me get dressed" I said rushing to my room
"Do you want me to help"
"Noo"
Closing the door I finally breathed out
"I hate my life".
