Madison POV
My heart pounded hard against my chest, as my lips still tingled with the kiss we had just shared. I had felt his strong arm on my waist, strong and safe, as though I belonged there - within his embrace.
When I recalled how I had leaned into his embrace, heat crept to my cheeks.
"That was unexpected," Raymond said, his voice hoarse and rough with an undertone that made my stomach tighten.
Raymond raised his hand, thumb gently brushing against my cheeks, then he leaned in once again and my eyes fluttered close.
After waiting for two seconds and nothing came, I snapped my eyes open to see the deliberate smirk on his face.
