Prologue

I don't know how did I end up looking at a broken man when I thought I was looking at a beauty. Hindi ko alam kung kailan nasira ang isang magandang likha. His eyes were like sapphires, so enigmatic and so deep, he's a masterpiece that is slowly fading.

"Kimberly Scofield, do you take Xian Ekelund as your lawfully wedded husband?"

But there was only silence. The girl had her eyes close and we watch as her hand fell from her being. Hindi ito sumagot, hindi na ito makasasagot pa. The runaway bride fell off to sleep, for a lifetime.

The deafening silence led a number of people down on their knees as tears roll from their eyes. Nagkagulo ang mga tao, nag-iyakan. Dinumog nila ang wala ng buhay na si Kim habang nasa mga kandungan ni Xian.

Nawala ang mga tao sa tabi ko, hindi nila alam ang gagawin. Mayroong tumawag ng ambulansya. Pilit nilang kinukuha ang bride sa groom nito pero hindi ito bumibitiw. Nakayuko lang ito at nakayakap sa babaeng tangan niya, hindi gumagalaw.

Napako ang paningin ko rito, to the pitiful guy who had never heard the sweet 'I do' from the love of his life.

It's been a long journey they went through before they thought it was the happy ending. But what am I seeing? Is this the ending love has brought to them?

I never believed that love is real, even when I am attending this wedding, kahit na ilang pag-iisang dibdib na ang nasaksihan ko, I still don't believe people can love one another as intense as they could.

Pero bakit naninikip ang dibdib ko habang pinanonood kung paano magtagpo ang buhay at kamatayan? Why is it so painful to see this guy kneeling down and slowly dying? Silently, I didn't know I cried.

That day, Xian and Kim made me believe that love might be real. But it doesn't last forever.

Before reading this, please set aside niyo muna feels niyo kay Kim. This is a whole different perspective dahil POV ito ni Larry. Everything you may read can be against Kim's POV in My Runaway Bride. I understand you still sympathize with Kim but please, this story is for Larry and Xian, Kim's POV ended with MRB. And again, I accept opinions and criticisms, wag lang tayo maging bastos.
