They could not even turn their heads in any direction as they just stood there like soldiers. I kept on calling Rodger's name, silently hoping that he would hear me. But he did not even make any attempt to look in my direction. He looked really scared, as if life had been drawn out of him. I tried to. I called and called and called time and over again. Then, when I thought I should give up and Rodger wouldn't answer me, I decided that later in the day, when he came back, I would ask him what had really gone on, what was really going on.
