Arriving to Onne’ home Adela was surprised. It wasn’t grand in any means. It had the look at a modern Victorian house but in a reduced size. The lawn was lush and green and a beautiful willow tree stoop perfectly in the middle of it. The paneling of the house was a beautiful light brown and the roofing was a regular rich chocolate brown. The porch of the house had beautiful lounging furniture too. “Is it at all like the books you read?” Onne said while being close to her ear. “Its more beautiful than any book can describe honestly. Its no fair you get to come home to this house everyday. Its so gorgeous, Onne” just as she was looking at a window on the far let, the curtain moved “Good, she’s awake!” He grabbed Adela’s hand and took her through the front door and stopped in front a beautiful woman. “Oh, uh.. hi. I’m Adela” she reached out her hand. “My, you didn’t say she was this pretty, Onne. Hi Adela, my name is Briana” Adela couldn’t place her finger on why Briana looked familiar but nonetheless she was happy to meet someone new “do you want a tour of the place? Actually its pretty late at night when would you like me to return you home? There’s a dog waiting for you back there” Onne laughed “do not remind me, I am still embarrassed. Ive been cooped up in the house for a couple of weeks and its nice to have a change in view, I think I’ll stay until I get tired. Let’s do a tour!” Onne began wishing she’d want to stay forever. Adela couldn’t believe how inviting the rooms were, she expected the furniture to be outdated and everything full of dark colored velvet. “Onne your house is nice, it seems like you both live comfortably” she noticed how safe she felt being in the house, like she was protected. “Well, I want to live in a comfortable space. Everyone deserves to feel that way in their house” Onne began to to bring Adela to the kitchen. She had so many questions, the bestiary didn’t have a lot of information on Feeders. “Onne, I have many questions. Grandfather’s study is filled with information but not enough on Feeders. I want to know as much as what you want to tell me” he was shocked. Shouldn’t she be afraid he would eat her? Well she’d kick his ass but Feeder’s were disgusting to most people because of their choice in nutrition “well a Human or a Supernatural cant become a Feeder unless they have been infected and then killed” he was dreading talking about what his father did to him. “Infected? What does that mean? Also if you’re dead how did you die? If you don’t mind my prodding” Onne sighed before continuing. “I was born in the late 1600’s. Feeders can procreate with Humans but its very rare if ever a baby can be born with life. Father was a Feeder and Mother was a Human. I was a rarity” Onne didn’t like remembering his mother because he missed her terribly. “My father wanted a child but not a human one, his plan was to let me grow up and then turn me when I was of the age twenty-five” Adela looked sad because she couldn’t fathom a father wanting to ruin their child’s life “what happened to your mother?” He missed her so much, maybe he liked Adela because she was just as warm and inviting at his mother “well to turn into a Feeder you have to infect them with a bite, father loved us both and wanted us to be with him for as long as he could keep us alive but sometimes the infection kills the host if they’re not strong enough. Her dying in agony changed him for the worst and he became evil. As he is my father, naturally I would want to do anything he told me to do, whether or not I had qualms about it. I killed so many people Adela, for almost three hundred years. All fo the sake of gaining his approval. The last straw was a couple years ago when he decided to turn an entire town into Feeders in order to begin turning other towns. He wants to start a war with both the HighCourt and the Hunters Association and I only want to live as normal a life I can” Adela had heard from her Grandfather about the battle here but she didn’t know it was a battle between Feeders. “Okay, that’s a lot” she then looked at Briana “I cannot place where I know you, but your face is very familiar to me, are you also a Feeder?” Briana was thinking of a way to explain how to tell her the truth “Well, you were engaged to my nephew. Onne’s father turned me about fifteen years ago, but I had still checked in on Joshua for a long time. He was very close to me and he probably felt the loss after I had left” Joshua never spoke about his family, more so Adela didn’t care to ask. She scrunched up her nose “well your nephew is an asshole and likes to beat people up” Briana smiled apologetically. That wasn’t the Joshua she knew, he must’ve become manipulated by his father. “So you were engaged huh?” Onne turned to Adela “Yes, my mother arranged it but I suspect it was to get something from me that she wanted to steal. The reason I’m here is because I escaped with my brother” Adela was getting a little sleepy but knew if she went home, Elliot would bombard her. “You’re getting sleepy, let me take you home” he began to help her up from the chair. “Uh its kind of chilly, let me grab you one of my jackets” Onne looked over and she was already asleep in the passenger seat. He couldn’t believe he told her he killed people and she didn’t even bat an eye. He was afraid of judgement so he stuck to himself. He made the decision that even if he didn’t win her favor, he would still want to be close to her. But would Elliot even allow that? Every red light he would look over at Adela, he had a feeling it would be a little while before he could see her face again. He would out aside his own feelings and allow the dust to settle between her and the Mutt. Onne shuddered to himself. Of course he other guy had to be a Werewolf. So cliché. He felt glad that she brought up memories of his mother. She was an amazing woman, and always helped whoever she could in the village they had residence in. It was a personality trait that drew in his father and once Onne was born she passed that trait to him as well. He had wished for siblings. He wished for more friends too. He could tell Adela was loved and cared for and he wanted a sliver of that. Being in her energy made him feel warm. He would try to refrain from making advances on her but he was going to still try to be her friend. “Adela, wake up. We’re at your house now” just then the garage flood lights turned on and five men came walking towards Onne’s car. Elliot opened the passenger side door and began pulling Adela out of the seat “Did this thing touch you? You should’ve called and said you were coming back” Jessie tapped onto Onne’s window “Hey, want to come inside? We have coffee” as Onne began to get out of the car he could hear Elliot growl. Jessie was also a Werewolf, but clearly much nicer than Elliot. “Uh, okay. Thanks. I imagine you guys have questions. Just to let you know I do remember your face” he was recalling the battle from a couple years ago. Clarence stuck out his hand to shake Onne’s and Brandon tried his best to avert eye contact. Elliot took Adela upstairs and Onne was led into the kitchen. Where he was met with the other man he remembered. “My name is Jessie and his name is Hugo, we want to know what happened to your father” once Adela was laying in the bed she rolled her eyes “Elliot, I really just want to sleep and do not want to discuss anything with you” she turned over in her and faced the wall “Dela, I don’t know where to start. But I wont say anything else other than I’m sorry for embarrassing you today. I still view you as mine and got a little territorial plus he’s a Feeder. You know how they do certain things” Adela just wanted to sleep but he clearly was not going to go away “Onne showed me the utmost respect today and was going to tell me the truth before you busted in the door. The thing with your statement Ellie is that I’m not yours. You left me by myself and then never communicated ever again, but somehow another man got you to be vocal again” Elliot shrugged “I was actually coming to talk to you during the wake, but Savannah got to me first” Adela just sighed “I will talk to you later, I want to sleep” Elliot knew he would just have to obey. Closing her door he could hear. The men talking to Onne downstairs. He wanted to wring his neck, but he didn’t hurt Adela. So for that he would show some grace.
