ALEXA
I still glared at Ashley, even though she hadn't done anything wrong to me, but Harold's next words made me even more sensitive towards Ashley.
Living with us temporarily and sharing a room with me? Doesn't this b***h have a home?
"Doesn't Ashley have a home?" my mouth asked before my mind could decide. It came out harsher than what my mouth intended, and it immediately made Ashley smile awkwardly, while Jacob avoided my gaze, clearly uncomfortable with me.
Only Harold, in his white sleeveless top, was oblivious to this awkward atmosphere.
"Doesn't have a home? Well, Ashley does, but something urgent came up, so she has to stay here," Harold replied casually, patting Jacob's abs. "And it's not like she can sleep with Jacob because that's unethical."
"Don't even put me as an option because if Ashley sleeps with me, it will make the whole Forks talk about me. You don't want me to get arrested and be in the news as the hot pedo head sheriff, do you?" Harold added jokingly, but I didn't laugh or even bother to smile.
I wanted to refuse Harold's request, saying how I didn't want that b***h near me or in the same room as me.
I didn't even want her to sleep on the sofa, or even the dining table where she had just made out with Jacob, but I knew better than to lower my ego and agree to Harold's request.
This is his and his beloved son's house, and just like Ashley, I'm just a newcomer here, and I'm worse than her because I have no status here.
"Alright, she can sleep with me," I sighed, glancing at her luggage that had been beside the sofa for God knows how long. "Need help with the luggage? I bet you're a bit tired because you sweat a lot."
"Oh, okay, sure. Thanks." Then, I brought Ashley's suitcase upstairs. Jacob tried to grab my hand midway, his mouth open as if wanting to say something, but my glare made him retract his intention.
"Why does this b***h even say yes to my formal offer?" I murmured, slamming her suitcase to vent my anger.

Arriving upstairs, I slammed the suitcase hard onto the floor before washing my hands in the toilet.
"Wow, this room is pretty good. Did you design it yourself?" I grimaced when I heard that b***h speak, but I still tried to maintain my composure.
"No. I'm just a guest here," I said half-heartedly, secretly hiding shampoo, soap, or anything to prevent Ashley from using it. "But your boyfriend designed it for me. Saying so I could feel at home here."
"Oh…" Then, our conversation stopped there. No one intended to talk, even when I returned to the bedroom and had hidden my toiletries.
"Am I the childish one here? f**k…Did I just look jealous and pathetic? Should I offer her some bed space or…" "You know, Jacob and I are destined mates."
"I'm sorry?"
I turned to Ashley with a questioning look. A destined mate? Like in a werewolf novel?
"Is she mad?" I thought, before she cleared her throat and continued her words.
"Just saying. I just don't want any drama between us as I will stay here for God knows how long. But I just want you to know your place so in case you have any feelin—" "No need to worry about that."
"I'm sorry?"
This time, Ashley asked me. I smirked, knowing that she didn't expect me to back down so easily.
After all, from now on, Alexa Nicky's feelings for Jacob Smith are dead.
"Like I said, no need to worry about that as I had no feelings for him," I said, cracking my head, before looking sharply at her. For once, I was relieved that I had my father's intimidating eyes instead of my mother's soft eyes, and I was glad that Ashley felt uncomfortable with it. "Besides, I'm actually grateful you're here. That dog ex-stepbrother of mine is really wild, it's about time he had a 'mate' as calm as you, so have fun taming him."
"Anyway, I don't like sharing a bed with a stranger as I get sick easily. Are you okay with the bean bag?" I added, throwing the dusty bean bag from the nightstand before she could answer. She grimaced in disgust, and I was glad that my soon-to-be ex-step-in-law was an understanding person.
"Okay, sure. But let me clean it first…."
Then, our conversation was completely dead this time. I turned off the light because I wanted to sleep, and I thought Jacob's stars on the ceiling were enough to light it.
"After all, she's a 'mate', and I'm 8.5, right?"

When morning came, I found Harold's note on my door saying that he was away for a few days because there were wild animals attacking Forkland, and he advised me to close all access in the house to avoid danger, so I took note of it.
"I have to talk to Jacob, though…" I thought lazily as I walked to the dining room. But what can I do? It's for our safety.
However, when I passed the dining room, I heard Jacob's raging voice. I could barely catch anything because he was whispering too much, but what I could catch was, 'Why did you say that to her?' and 'What was her reaction?? She doesn't f*****g know!' and when I entered the kitchen to unravel it…I smirked.
'Of course, what else do I expect…'
"Jacob…Alexa!" "WHAT??"
And when he turned around, I saw him FULLY naked, just like yesterday.
Ashley too, but the difference was, they were standing instead of laying down and sprawl, and Ashley's body full of purple 'bites', especially on her inner thighs.
"Wow…" I whistled. This time, I didn't intend to run away, because what for? It's better to support, right?
"Listen, Alexa! This is not what you think, I—" Before that dog could explain, I took a piece of bread, put it in my mouth, and waved him goodbye.
I can't afford to be late because of these dogs.

School today seemed to go very quickly, and kinda nice without a mini-drama, but there's one problem:
Nicholas is nowhere to be seen.
"I still saw him yesterday…" I thought, feeling a little concerned. I squinted a bit because the sun was too bright from the window. Since Grumpy felt very guilty, today I could sit with him, while one of the biggest losers in this school sat alone in the corner.
"Hey, Grumpy? Ist the psychic prince absent today?" I asked unconsciously, but Grumpy seemed to tilt his head in confusion.
"Psychic prince? Who do you mean?"
I frowned because Grumpy seemed confused and didn't understand. Why did he keep forgetting Nicholas Alexander? But before I could explain, Mr. Aria had entered the class, and I gasped at the pile of papers in his hand.
'f**k! Surprise test!'
"Okay, class…Now we will start our last class, and there will be a surprise test."
"And also, Miss Nicky?"
"Yes??" I asked, semi-panicked because I hadn't studied and wanted to do some skimming.
"Um…I know this will trouble you, and not to mention that it will be awkward, but I was wondering,"
"Can you deliver this paper to Nicholas Alexander's house? I noticed your houses are next to each other, so I figured it would be cheaper and free to send it with you than with gas."
