Rise Above

Chapter 12

    Ellie's POV

I woke the next morning with a pounding headache, I roll over to find Cullen is gone. As soon as I sit up Cullen walks in the room with a tray of food. "Good morning beautiful" He says as he places the tray on my lap.

"I brought you some medicine to help with the pain, it will take a little while for it to go away its the pack link that is making your head hurt" he says as he places the medicine in my hands. "Thank you babe" I say smiling at him like he just saved m life.

"Babe huh" He says with a sly smirk and I turn my face as I feel my face being red realizing what I said. Cullen let out a small chuckle and places his hand under my chin making me face him. "I love it, now if you are done baby I think its time for us to get to work" He says getting up but not before kissing my forehead.

I finish my food and put the tray on the side table. I then get up and make my way to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After I get out of the water I step out and remember that I forgot all my clothes. I peak through the bathroom to make sure Cullen has left the room.

Once the coast was clear I run to the closet, as soon as I ran into the closet door I ran smack dead into a rock hard chest making me fall backwards. Before I could fall all the way I looked up and saw Cullen with a devilish grin looking at me only wearing a towel.

He leans down to my ear making me jump as I feel his warm breath on my face" you better get dressed before we stay in this room all day" He says then leaves the room leaving me speechless. I quickly got dressed.

Walking over the mirror I take a glance of my outfit. Dark red crop top with black skinny jeans, my black knee high boots and putting on my black leather jacket. I quickly threw my hair back in a quick but cute side braid and applying my red lip stain and eye liner and mascara. 

I walk out of the room and went to Cullen's office. I walk in a see a few guards, Zack, Cari, And Cullen sitting. "Ok everyone lets talk about a plan" I say as I walk over and sit on the arm of the chair where Cullen is sitting.

"Lets hear what you got Luna" Zack says trying to see if I really have anything. "There is a clearing about ten miles from the pack house and there is where we will hold the fight" I say looking at everyone. "Is that all" Zack says looking annoyed.

"Let me finish talk and stop being rude I am your Luna" I growl at Zack using my Alpha tone and he backs down. "Like I was saying I will go first to the clearing since they want me. Before you oppose let me finish, when I get to clearing I want all our pack to cover there scent so no one can tell if they are there" I say looking at Cullen as he is processing the plan.

"Its risky Luna" Zack says looking nervous. "Well yes but dont worry that why I asked Cari here she is going to do a shield around me where no one cant touch me unless I am needed for battle then she will drop the shield" I say looking at Cari as she nods in agreeing to the plan.

"Cullen what do you think" I say looking at him as he is deep in thought. "I dont like using you as bait" He says I look at him "I understand its alot but I will not stand back and watch my pack fight without me if I am the reason for the attack" I say trying to stay calm.

"Please just be safe out there" Cullen says as he grabs my hand and kissing it making me blush like a little school girl. "I will always be careful never doubt me remember I am a daughter of an alpha and a great fighter" I say looking deep into his eyes reassuring him all will be well.

After our meeting we all went to train for the fight that was to come. I had Cari do  spell to see when they would attack which gave us 2 weeks, which was perfect to build up the packs strength.

       Cullen's POV

Sitting back listening to all the things my mate was saying was difficult knowing she was setting her self up as bait. But hearing that Cari was gonna have a shield around her made me feel better.

I watch as her eyes light up when she talks about fighting for our pack a pack which she hasnt been apart of but maybe a month. I am so lucky to have a such a wonderful mate to spend the rest of my life with. Now we just have to make it through this battle! Let it begin!
