Leonidas checked their surroundings, and once he was satisfied that no one was in sight, he quickly yanked his toga off over his head. Tossing it to Brooke, he shifted into his wolf form while Brooke shoved the fabric into her bag. He knelt down to allow Brooke to climb onto his back. As she did, she took her familiar position, running her fingers through his coarse fur and grabbing on. “At least this time we’re not being chased from the city by a hoard of skeleton men,” Brooke said. “Or a s*x-crazed God of the Underworld. Take it easy on this run, okay?” The wolf beneath her snorted before taking off down the street at a gentle pace.
