CHAPTER 10
They were all sitting in the front room, quietly talking. June was sitting on the love seat. Cathy had her head in June’s lap and was covered with a blanket. She had clung to June and would not settle to sleep anywhere else. Meg and Anna brought down a play pen and set it up for the baby. They both were bathed and fed. They were sleeping soundly. Maddie was seated in one of the rockers and Madeline was in another. Meg and Anna were seated on a bench under the front window. They had been talking quietly, so they would not disturb the children.
