The next morning, both Liam and Jason were reluctant to leave. They hated the idea of their family being in danger. Madeline shooed them out after breakfast. She assured them everything would be alright. No one knew of the connection between them and the children’s parents.
“We have our phones. You are just going to be working on Jason’s house. I’ll fix lunch. You can check in then. Now, go on and get to work. Tell Rafe about our connection to the children. He and Dora had left last night before we found out about it,” Madeline instructed.
They left reluctantly, after taking Maddie and June onto the porch for a final kiss.
