CHAPTER 6
On the way back to Rafe and Dora’s Liam pulled into the five-acre lot next to them. There were workers there. They had already done a lot of work on the house and there were even people working on the landscaping.
They all got out of the car, with Jason and Liam hurrying to open June and Maddie’s doors.
“I can give you an idea of the rooms and the layout of the house, but it will be a whole lot easier to see in a few days,” said Jason.
He pointed out the rooms and guided June around, showing her his vision for their new home. June nodded a few times but did not say much. Jason was beginning to get anxious, thinking maybe she did not like the place.
Finally, he stopped and faced her. “If you don’t like it, we can build elsewhere,” he said.
