It had been two months since I had received a phone call from my boss and editor in chief of L&G Daily that I—Luca Lane—had been nominated for the OUTWriter Awards’ Columnist of the Year.
When David—my boss and father—told me the news, I couldn’t believe it. It was my first nomination throughout my four years of being a gay dating advice columnist for L&G Daily, so naturally I was stoked yet nervous.
