Chapter 3The Next Day, 8:45 A.M. The aroma of bacon filled my nostrils, and I wondered how that was even possible since I was still in bed sleeping and not cooking anything. Maybe it was Mrs. Uma frying up bacon again because she caught her husband flirting with another woman. Whenever that happens, she fries bacon and eggs the next morning, because that’s his favorite meal…although his cholesterol is high as heck.
