It felt good just to get off the top floor and be with the pack members. My family and I walked to the patio, opened the doors, and breathed in the fresh air that we hadn’t had in five days. Several of the pack members came up to me and hugged me, happy to see me safe and able to be out of the packhouse. “LUNA!” I heard a chorus of voices, and then I was tackled to the ground by a dozen pups. I was happy to see them. Their moms came up, laughing, peeling their pups off of me. “We’re sorry, Luna,” one of the moms said, “They are just happy to see you again.” I started to laugh and told her that it was ok, I was happy to see them again.
