    Kani went to his school for choosing the group he preferred to study in the forthcoming years to come. During time, he noticed a strange student who came for the admission in the school. He was dressed up neat with a matching red coloured tie and his looks was damn formal. Kani admired at the new boy. Soon, Kani was given an application form to fill. Kani’s mother filled it. She chose Bio-Maths group and the other language as Hindi for the boy. Then, Kani and his mother had a discussion with the dignitaries of the school inside the meeting hall. They asked Kani to choose computer science group instead of Bio-Maths. But Kani and his mother were firm and confident and they were unmoved by their words. 

    And finally, Kani got the Bio-Maths group. Kani then entered into his eleventh standard. Class XI was a beautiful period for the students in their school life as they don’t have any public exam during their eleventh. The class teacher, Mr. Muthu Kumaran handled Botany subject for Kani. Kani liked his class very much as he imparted more practical knowledge among the students. He used to come to the class with some leaves to teach about venation and about different families and nomenclatures in botanical science. The students got more intuitive knowledge from his method of teaching. He also used to play cricket with Kani during the evening hours. There was another teacher named Mr. Jeyamani, who handled zoology for them. He also used to play cricket along with Kani, during the eventing time. He was a strict teacher. He used to give different-different punishments for the students like duck walk, frog jump, etc. if they do something wrong. The students used to take them sportive and as and when they finish doing the punishment, they get their muscle tightened. They even can’t get down from their school bus easily after getting those punishments. But they managed it eventually as they were all teenagers at that time. 

    Kani and his 2 other friends, Hardik Agarwal and Ajith Kumar, had their Hindi classes in the Hindi room. The Hindi subject was handled by Mrs. Lalitha. She was a strict teacher but at the same time soft whenever she was at good mood. She used to talk many stories apart from the lessons as they had only less portions to be covered, in the syllabus. 

    Hardik was a naughty guy and whenever the teacher was not there at the class, he used to open the teacher’s snacks box and get some foods from there for all of us. Kani used to hesitate but at last, he gets his share anyhow. 

    But to everyone’s surprise, there came an announcement that there won’t be Hindi exams in higher secondary boards. Kani and his 2 friends had no other clues left except to learn Tamil, from there on. Kani and Ajith managed to learn Tamil as Tamil was the mother language for them. But the other guy, Hardik, who came from a Hindi background had a struggle to learn Tamil but he eventually managed to learn it off soon by his great efforts and hard work. 

    And, it was the time when the school had a new principal named Mr. PRS. He was academic focused who always used to care for the students a lot. He was unique with different thoughts and ideologies. 

    One day, Kani went to his room for getting permission for two days leave on the account of family tour. The principal liked him very much but he asked him to take one day leave. But Kani replied him that as it was a family tour, he can’t stay in his relative’s home too. The Principal said him that he could stay in hostel for one day if he wanted. Kani was unmoved. So, the Principal replied Kani that he would speak with his father regarding that. Kani expected that he would get two days leave for sure. But even his father too failed to convince the principal. 

    Kani’s classmates told him that he should have first taken the leave before writing the letter. But Kani was honest and determined that he should not give a wrong reason for taking leave. 

    Kani came back to home and he saw his relatives getting ready for the tour. Kani wished to go with them to the tour. Also, family tour was the only reason for which Kani used to take leave during his school life period. Before leaving the home to the tour, Kani's father asked him whether he would come with them or not. Kani said that he would come. Then, Kani’s father took him to the tour and those two days went so well. 

    Kani was searching for reasons that how could he manage to escape from the Principal, in getting sign from the Principal in the leave letter. He then thought of a plan and wrote another letter in which he mentioned that he was suffering from fever for the first day and the following day, he took leave on the account of family tour. Kani entered the Principal room and he showed off both the letter to him. On seeing the reason written in the letter, the Principal got irritated and he said him that not to show him his face any more. Kani didn’t do that purposefully but things went in that way, at that time. 

    From that day on, Kani was very much afraid of him and he never indulged in any such activities that bring him to the principal’s room once again. Soon, the house matches for cricket arrived which was very much expected by Kani. There were strong reasons behind his expectations and excitations.
