Ember laid in bed with Lucas, discussing their next course of action. Serene had become untouchable now that she was under the protection of the shadow wolves. However, everyone now knew that Serene was dangerous. Ember had come up with a plan to push the prophecy further. Since no one could find the origin of the prophecy, she suggested they create their own version of it, claiming it originated from one of the abandoned libraries in the faction. They would produce books that said the person in the prophecy must be contained or killed to save the world.
"We need to make sure this plan is flawless," Ember said, her voice low but determined. "If we can convince the other factions that the prophecy demands Serene's death, we can turn them against Thane and his people."
