Arc 2 - Chapter 2: A knot from the past.

"Like i said before we respect you and your work doctor but your action of saving everyone will prolong this battle. Time to pick a side and end this battle once and for all."

"End this battle... and what after that, and why would i need to pick a side when i can abandon this sector, why should i help someone who is a threat to people. I am fighting against the city leaders because of the people, and why should i care about you and your meaningless war ?"

"Because we also want to end this war."

"With the victory belong to you. Then can the life of people in this sector can be improved ?"

"That matter..."

"Let me finish your words, that is a no. You don't understand the problem, the city doesn't need anything else but slave to work for them, with the condition of people in this sector, they will come for every gangs. The people are the shield, the protector, the silent guardian and if you keep treating them like this, i doubt the younger generation will stay in this sector."

Ruthless and cruel truth, we only survive and found the haven because we know it is important to protect each other, the haven is created based on trust and unity, and this sector has no hope for such thing. Sometime, learn to accept reality is the best way, maybe there won't be any ally in sector 6 but there are a lot of sectors so there is nothing to be worried about. Not today, not tomorrow but there will be a day in the future when the sun will shine once again, there is no need for sadness the great battle isn't begin and it far from begin, not until they started to torn themselves apart. The street of sector 6, a place filled with sorrow, where people can't leave because they can't see hope or they don't want to witness another false hope. People tired to walk and now they let whatever come to take them, maybe it is the fault of the gangs but the city did what it did best, breaking people's will.

"I believe you also felt that Doctor."

"Another organization. Acting alone, never group up but they know how to act in the dark, Epsilon, can you watch my back ?"

"Shoot anyone who approach us, no exception."

"Mu, give me your pistol. Hiding in the dark, show yourself Jbys you can hide from anyone but not from me."

Uniform of Jbys organization, one of twelve organizations work under the command of the city leader. They mostly work alone but there is a leader who give general command and they act on their own will but among all twelve organizations, the city hate them the most. They don't work with all they have, they just take the city's commissions and let one of the member did it and they just do it.

"So now i am thinking about a prideful wolf or a loyal dog, not even loyal to say the least."

"We have to talk."

"I am not in a good mood for a long talk, simply go and treat people in this part of the city is tiring enough and now someone appear before me, return the favour by biting the hands that treat him. Be quick."

"Our leader wished to talk."

"Deary, no one is foolish enough to waltz in the wolf den. Now, run along hound of the city leaders, if your leader want to talk go to a neutral ground and go with at least three persons."

Hound of the city leaders, what a fitting way to call them, remain loyal, throw away their pride but it is not really their fault, they just do what they have to, a form of responsibility but even with compassion, they still work for the city leaders. So let me see if you are the puppy wag your tail for the city leaders or a wolf who know the true threat of this world, but like Haar and Hiiv, i don't expect much but i can't be a rude person. 

The neutral ground is the way we call the empty ground in every sector, it is the furthest location from any construction make it a neutral ground. Compare to Korvos, the boss of Jbys is a little bit shorter but his clothing is much more expansive than everything we wear combine. Must felt really cozy in that big fur coat, a little bit opressing but i need to stay calm because Epsilon is ready her blade, that man must have some personal business but it is not my job to interfere. After everything done, she can do whatever she wants to that man but now, there is something that much more important.

"So the dark wolf of the city, i presume you wanted to talk ?"

"I want to ask for another favor."

"This is the fifth time i presume. Are you really sure you wanted to ask for a favor from me ?"

"Yes, I know you disappeared from your old home and the city can't find you, that is the reason why i wanted you to help us against the city leader."

"My sincere apology, but i don't work with city's leader petting zoo. Haar and Hiiv caused enough destruction so i decided not to trust any other organizations from the city. You can do what you wanted now, i won't stop you."

"I have no desire to do anything, that man will walk on the path toward his own destruction."

"Alright then, sector 6 was terrible but luckily we have someone waiting for us in another sector."

"Lilia ? Lilia, is that you ?"

"You killed Lilia that day you choose greed over the sake of your daughter. And from that day, Lilia is dead and she will remain in that place, under cold solid ground never to witness the light once more."

The moment he tried to grab her arm, a flash of silver light and between them is a graceful silver blade, Epsilon's blade is decorated like one of those objet d'art in that mysterious mansion. Mu also ready, one of her pistol point toward one of the member of Jbys and even with a slightest movement, this can turned into a fight. And that man know, Epsilon's mind is really unstable, meet the man who abandoned her long ago, and from what i felt, Epsilon wanted to end that man with her own hand.

"So before this blade impale your heart, answer me one question, the fortune you made, is that my worth ? Do you want to choose again to have Lilia back ?"

"So i see, you still cling to your greed, and that is my worth in your eyes... In the pressure of death, people are pushed to their limit and expose the truth, my old father, you are the leader of Jbys, in the presence of death, you are hesitate."

"I am here because i abandoned riches and my own social standing, to be here, on my knees to ask for an alliance, because i know you are still out there somewhere."

"If you are here saying these words, what really happened to Jbys ?"

"To be honest, it is nothing i am really proud of, that is the promise that i can't keep Lilia."

And the man - Pyetus against the city leaders when he saw the truth about them, the city leaders are chasing a faraway dream, it is the dream of perfection and anyone who tried to stop them will be put down. Jbys is the first organization against the city leaders not because of their faraway dream but because of the fact that they used every organization as a tool to finish that dream. And because of some rituals that require sacrifice, so Pyetus only can lead a few of his man escape the city but they didn't know, they can't escape the city, even when all you can feel is cold ground.

"You didn't know but the truth is no one can escape from them, they even can take your corpse and brought you back to life as an obedient puppet."

"How or when did they do that ?"

"I don't know but they brought a child back before, so they can just brought an adult back. Now, is all of your men leave the city ?"

"Everyone is staying in the shelter of sector 2 since no one there so we decided to stay there."

"Is everything they said is truth Lambda ?"

"It is the truth according to the report about everything the city leaders have in their mind. So what is your decision ?"

"It goes against the way how i should act but i don't really want to fight an army of puppet, Lambda, can you fake this their corpses ?"

"Just need a little bit of sample from their hair and blood so they know that is them and then cinder it, alright got that."

Am i right, can i truly call them my new allies, there are so much doubt and i even doubt myself. The moment we got back to the haven, i asked Lambda to scan them to see any tracking device or record device or any transfer device but they don't have any of that. Still, keep them under supervision is a good choice until i can confirm they are an allies. The news spread and reported that every member of Jbys are burned and found dead in sector 9 so at least for now we are safe. Jbys's member is calm and they are friendly so everyone in the Haven like them a lot, the member of the mysterious organization remain neutral to them, some members like them, some just consider them strangers.

"Did i do the right thing father ?"

"I can't be the one who judge that, you are who you are and every decision help you growth. I think you made the right choice."

"But i still feel something not right, everything can't be this smooth."

"Maybe it is because you doubt them for far too long and consider most of the people who live in the city is the same."

"Maybe you are right..."

"Now, it is getting cold."
