Sensationalist? (2)

The Yellow Gonzo is eventually getting sick and tired of my evasive maneuvers and thus prefers some more old-fashioned wringing, as he is able to catch up with my speed. As we wrestle with our physical attacks, I ask him... “Why? Why are you doing all this to that poor lady?” “Simple, bro. She deleted my thesis! If I don't graduate and become a journalist, what will become of me?” “If your thesis was indeed deleted, why didn't you make a backup of it?” “I was scrambling for time, that's why!” “Hmph. You invested so much in your career that you forgot practically everything else. And now, you're trying to divert the blame for a minor mistake onto an innocent woman! Truly... you are ruining her smile. And I'm now fighting to restore and protect it!” We break free of the wrestling, and the yellow fiend then answers... “Enough of your useless lectures! You'll never see the light of day!” I know what he'll be doing next! He'll utilize his camera's flash to blind me, just like what he did to the cops! Fortunately, I have a good counter for that. “Vacuum Fang!” The invisible energy from my right hand instantly shatters the camera's lens, rendering his flash attack useless. “NOOOOO!!! Not my flash! Now to pump you full of lead!” The Yellow Gonzo's camera still has its rapid-fire capabilities, and thus he uses it against me once more. Oh, my foot's glowing again. Time for the Aesir Kick. As I jump veritably high, the journalist monster attempts to pepper me with bullets, but to no avail. Also, as I dive towards the monster for the kick, the energy gathering around my right foot serves as a natural barrier that deflects the bullets. The Yellow Gonzo, surprised that his full-auto mode doesn't stick, can only scream in despair as my Aesir Kick connects to his body. Once he feels the impact of the kick, sparks fly from his now-disintegrating body. “This is The Yellow Gonzo, now signing off for eternity!” A huge explosion finally does him in. In the explosion's wake lies the unconscious man known as Valerio Kooken, based on what I've learned later from the other staff at KTRM News. Well... I don't have enough time right now to meet Nellie, because my free time is obviously running out. But mark my words... I'll meet her someday. The next day, while I'm watching TV at the employees' lounge (all because just like yesterday, I don't have any transcription jobs waiting for me)... I get to see a special report narrated by KTRM News' premier news anchor, Meredith Gottwald. It sheds light on what transpired yesterday, as well as the story behind it. “Good afternoon, and welcome to the special edition of KTRM News in the Afternoon. I'm Meredith Gottwald. “Yesterday, a journalist -themed monster who introduced himself as The Yellow Gonzo harassed and literally silenced one of our interns, Nellie Asakura. Onlookers at the front of the KTRM News building could only witness the event as they were powerless to do anything, and the police who responded were met with a blindness attack from the monster's camera lens. “Fortunately, an armored superhero named Gjallarhorn, who stopped several other monsters in the past few weeks, came to the scene and did battle with The Yellow Gonzo at the building's parking lot. “After a tough battle, which was captured live, the monster was eventually defeated; and from the monster's remains, an unconscious man shows up, and he has been identified as Valerio Kooken, a journalism student at the University of Perpetual Help and also an intern here at KTRM News. Ms. Asakura and the responding policemen were cleared of their sensory ailments once the monster was no more. “After receiving medical treatment, Mr. Kooken was discharged out of Wenceslaus Vincent Memorial Medical Center this morning; and he was then brought to the office of the president of KTRM News, Darren Bonaventure, to settle the dispute over Ms. Asakura's alleged deletion of his college thesis from his laptop while he was away for a bathroom break – which was the root cause of Mr. Kooken's monster-fueled harassment. “From the questioning that ensued, it turned out that Ms. Asakura did not delete Mr. Kooken's thesis outright. Instead, she only accidentally damaged his flash drive, which contained a backup of said thesis. The laptop was never touched by her since it was password-protected. “As a result, Ms. Asakura decided that she would never press any criminal charges against Mr. Kooken; and the latter would not be expelled both from his school and here at KTRM News. The two agreed, after a heartfelt reconciliation, that Mr. Kooken will pay Ms. Asakura $1,000 for moral and exemplary damages instead. “But one question remains in this already-resolved issue: What or who made Valerio Kooken into a monster? We at KTRM News, as well as local authorities, are investigating this matter as of this broadcast. “This is Meredith Gottwald for the special edition of KTRM News in the Afternoon, and have a good day.” A case of sensationalism, ended by my hands. This feel good, alright. --- Monster of the Week Information Name: The Yellow Gonzo Height: 200.66 cm (6' 7”) Weight: 161.52 kg (356.09 lb) Monster Type: Yellow-colored camera and microphone-themed journalist monster Human Identity: Valerio Kooken Valerio's childhood dream was to become a journalist, but that dream was allegedly ruined by a girl named Nellie Asakura. According to him, she supposedly deleted his documents which were meant to be submitted for his journalism course. In a fit of rage, he offered himself to become a monster by the hooded figure in order to make her pay dearly. As the Yellow Gonzo, he could use his camera to blind enemies with his flash, and also spew out rapid-firing bullets in full auto mode. His microphone could be used as a bludgeoning weapon as well as to inflict silence on its unfortunate victims. While out for lunch, Bernard saw a girl being harassed and humiliated by the yellow-coated fiend, while others could only stand and do nothing. Learning that the girl was indeed Nellie, he sprung into action, transforming into Gjallarhorn and then diverting the Yellow Gonzo to an unpopulated spot. Despite the monster's rapid-fire shots, they were no match for Gjallarhorn's speed. The armored hero eventually defeated the journalist monster with a well-placed Aesir Kick.
