23 Ricky Casey didn’t show once ounce of judgement toward me. Didn’t send me packing after unleashing my demons on her. Didn’t look at me with disgust knowing I’d killed my own father and was responsible for Annie’s death, a complete innocent whose life had unfortunately crossed with mine. Her soft touch proclaimed the exact opposite of judgement. Her eyes stated she accepted my past for what it was, that she still wanted me. Wanted, not needed. My heart stung at that truth, but the desire to lose myself in her—kiss her mouth, have every inch of her skin against mine, bury myself in her warmth until I no longer felt alone...
