His Broken Mate

Denounce her

The sum beaming high up in the sky, Alpha Ryan sat in his office when Michael walked in.

“What is it?” He asked seeing the worried expression on his face.

“The people are infuriated” he said.

“What do you mean by that?” Ryan asked raising his head slightly to look at him.

Michael moved closer to him with his head down to his ears,

“Yesterday was supposed to be a memorable event where you would have to pick a female from the pack as your breeder. With high expectations from the pack of you, instead of going for those with noble birth and a much higher ranking, you went straight to the line of the omegas to pick that lowly girl.

Why would you do such a thing” he asked him.

“It was my choice” he answered.

“I know that but couldn’t you have chosen someone better and more submissive, the mess you made yesterday was a huge one and it has people conversing about it” Michael related to him. He had prepared for Alpha Ryan to pick a female from the first line but instead he didn’t bother to go there.

“What are they saying?”

“They say that you took that Alpha title from Luke and now you have also taken his mate. This is not a good look for you Alpha” Michael answered. A broad smile was written on Ryan’s face because that was exactly what he did, he knew that Voilet was Luke’s mate right before he became Alpha. He had heard their conversation and watched them together so he knew all along.

Ryan stood up from his seat and moved to the window.

“So what do you suggest I do?” He asked.

“I suggest that you pick another breeder from a noble birth and dump this omega girl, she doesn’t deserved to be the next Luna of the pack or bear the next Alpha” he suggested to him.

Ryan crossed this arms looking back at Michael,

“I will not heed to that, do you have any other suggestions?” He asked.

Michael felt unpleasant by response but he had other solutions up his sleeve.

“I knew you would say that.

Why don’t we make Luke denounce that Voilet is his mate and tell the pack that he was lying about it. It would make the people to shift their loyalty from him to you” Michael suggested again. Ofcourse he had always been the one who came with more solutions to each problem.

“So you think the people are loyal to Luke than me, their Alpha” Ryan asked more relaxed than ever when Michael was shouldering all the burden of being scared for him.

“I do not think it, I know it. Luke was supposed to be the Alpha until you took it from him, the people believe it is his birthright given to him by his father to rule the pack just like he did. I wouldn’t be surprised if the pack breaks into two and Luke commands the other half” he advised him with him as his best interest.

“Fine then, you can do what you want with Luke. Make him denounce his mate or whatever but just know that I do not care about what the people think of me. I am the Alpha of this pack which means I am the law, I don’t care what others think” Ryan replied.

It had been his plan to be the Alpha for a long time and when he saw his chance he took it, he knew that the people were going to criticize his actions and acts but he didn’t care less because if he did then he wouldn’t have been Alpha in the first place.

“You may not care about what the pack thinks but I do. You might wake up one day and realize that the pack had turned their back on you” Michael stated. He didn’t understand why Ryan was so relaxed with everything when he should be doing his most to get the people on his side.

“Is that a threat?” Alpha Ryan barked moving closer to him, he grabbed Michael by the neck and squeezed it so hard that he was so scared of what to say.

“It seems your position has gone to your head that you thin k you can threaten me. Don’t forget that your life is in my hand and I can take it whenever I want” Alpha Ryan strictly warned him.

“I am not threatening you Alpha” he struggled to say after he had let go of his neck.

“I am just looking out for you, we went through a lot of planing to get this plan of being becoming the Alpha to happen, I just don’t want you to lose this opportunity due to a tiny mistake of taking Luke’s assumed mate” he added.

“I know what I am doing” Ryan replied.

“I hope so Alpha”

“You can just go ahead with your plan of torturing Luke, it is not like I have any use for him. Some day he will eventually meet his death and that would be by my hand” he stated.

“I will make sure that he denies the omega as his mate” Michael answered.

“If he doesn’t, don’t pressure yourself too much and have a rest” Ryan advised him. He knew Luke was not going to deny his mate but he could take a couple of beating for challenging him and causing a scene in front of so many people present at the ceremony.

Michael wasted no time in going to torture Luke, he wanted to make sure that he denounce his mate Voilet.

He got to the dungeon with two men and once he got to his cell, he didn’t say a word but ordered the men to beat him up. All bound with silver chains to the wall, Luke was unable to move. He watched the men get into his cell and beat him with a silver rod. It burned through his skin causing him severe pain. After a while they stopped and Michael moved closer to him.

“Do you know the reason why I am here?” He asked.
