IT’S NOW BEEN SEVEN days since the day David died. He should have been here three days ago, and my whole body is numb. Scott has been over every day, and today is no different. He is sitting in the living room when I walk out, and everyone walks out. “Ivy, what’s wrong?” Brian asks with concern on his face. “What do you mean, what’s wrong?” “Well, you are dressed.” “I am. I need to go out. I will be back by dinner. Will you watch the kids?” All three of them exchange a look. “Of course, we will, but do you want one of us to go with you?” Kevin asks.
