When I came down, the vehicles were running and my warriors were standing ready for orders. Alpha Ian had instructed his ten warriors that all orders came from me but asked the head warrior to link him with updates. After showing everyone the route we were taking and going over the plan, we loaded up and headed out.
Parker, get some rest, we are on our way.
Ok…
We arrived just before dusk, which was what I wanted. I planned to attack at dark. Parker, Gamma Ben and myself went over the plan one last time before briefing the rest. Parker said that we were about five miles south of the castle. The plan was to have everyone shift here, then move in and surround the castle, waiting to exit the trees as a whole. Myself and Parker plus five others would make our way straight inside and locate our people. Gamma Ben would lead the rest to take out the guards before making their way inside as well.
We gathered ready to go. "Leah, I need you and a few others to stay in human form, bring blankets and extra clothes. I don't know what condition our people will be in.”
“Yes Alpha”
“Let's go, stay alert, and stay quiet”
“Yes Alpha!” I had full confidence in my warriors, I was just hoping we weren't too late.
The five-mile run went by quickly, and we were surrounding the area in no time.
Everyone is in place, Alpha. Gamma Ben linked me.
Move in
All my warriors moved as one. These rogues had no idea what was coming. Parker and I moved towards the castle from the north straight to the side door. We made it without coming into contact with any rogues. We broke through the door and quickly moved inside, heading straight for the lower levels.
*Remi’s POV*
“Remi, Remi”.
I could hear my name faintly in the distance and felt damp on my face. I could smell the sweet smell of rain. Maybe I am in heaven?
Nope! I was slowly becoming more aware of my surroundings and far more aware of my pain. I slowly opened my eyes, blinded by that warm light coming through the small barred window.
“Remi, thank Goddess you are alive!” Millie was excitedly whispering at me.
“Caleb, she is awake” I tried to slowly sit up. Holy Crap! The pain was hitting me more with every little movement.
“Is everyone OK?” I rasped. Millie crawled as close to me as she could, still chained. She helped me sit up and lean against the wall.
“It sounds like the guys got the s**t beat out of them, but they are OK. And I just came to a couple of days ago. You were lying there, I thought you were dead”. Tears entered her eyes as she thought back on seeing me lying there with blood all over me not moving.
“I am sorry Millie, I didn't mean to scare you” I whispered.
“Hey, how is she Mill?” Caleb's voice came from the other side of the wall.
“She looks like s**t, but she is alive!” She smiled at me and chuckled.
“Thanks Mill”
I sat, resting my head against the cool stone wall. Drifting in and out, partly listening to my brothers and Mill speak back and forth. I had been out for days, is what I gathered. The boys being brought in and out of the cell every couple of days. Memories of my lovely time with Becca and that warrior flashed through my mind. The warm sunlight faded and left me cold and shivering.
There was a large bang from the top of the hall, making me jolt upright, hissing through my teeth from pain. Several voices came flooding in. Millie scooted closer to me, blocking me from view. The voices were slowly getting closer, making my nerves heighten. I was so hoping they were not coming this way. I don't think I can serve another round in the chamber of hell. As they got closer, I recognized one voice; it was the one they called “Boss” but the others were new.
“King Alpha, these are the new ones here and those two cells at the top of the hall” The group had stopped in front of our cells. King Alpha? That must be King Edward, the guys were right.
“And what is the report, since they are still down here, I am guessing they didn't join willingly?” King Edwards voice slithered through the air.
“These two didn't take much. These three are going to need some work”. An older man stepped sideways looking at Millie and I. His eyes were black and cold, they gave me chills down my spine. That…..that must be “King” Edward.
“And these she-wolves?” He asked, not taking those black eyes off of us.
That's when I finally saw the Boss guy. He stepped up next to King Edward, he was for sure a rogue, he was much smaller than the King, and did not radiate any sort of title.
“This one” he pointed to Millie, “just woke up a few days ago, so we haven't brought her down yet” A low growl came from the guys' cells. Must be Caleb. King Edward's eyes shot to their cell but didn't faze him otherwise.
“And what about that little beauty?” King Edward was pointing right at me. At that, four growls sounded off, making the guards chuckle.
“Open the cell” he smirked. One of them fumbled with the keys but quickly got our cell door open. King Edward walked over to me with the horrific smirk on his disgusting face.
The Boss answered him,“She is human from what we can tell”. His eyes turned evil, sending more cold chill down my spine. He had such an evil aura about him, it made me nauseous. He stepped forward, grabbing me around the throat with his cold, scaly hand and lifted me up off the ground. Holding me a few inches above it, so I was eye to eye with him.
“No wolf uh? She sure is a pretty little thing. I am sure we can still find her useful” his words made another growl release from my brothers, which only made his day. He pushed me up against one of the walls, making me wince with pain as my back made contact with the cold stone.“Yes, I think the pack w***e would be perfect for her” as he spoke he trailed his free hand up my bare leg, under my dress and landed on my butt. Desire flashed across his perverted eyes. I tried to squirm out of his hands but once I tried to move he only tightened his hold on my throat.
“Get off her, you perv” Millie spat. His head snapped to her. The desire in his eyes was replaced with anger. The sound of a slamming door broke his stare. Thank Goddess.
