*Remi’s POV*
When Nolan took my hand in the car and told me I was safe, my heart was finally able to calm down. I was worried about being left alone once we got to the hospital but once I saw Doctor Opal I was relieved, at least I knew her. Her nurse today was a female who I did not know. I wondered if Nolan requested females only, which I am thankful for.
“ Remi, can you tell me what happened.” Doctor Opal has been letting me come to the hospital and volunteering here for a while now to get me ready for nursing school, so, like I said, I was comfortable. I quickly explained everything from the “dust” by the lake, to the torture, to the passing out from the pain and waking up. She stayed quiet and listened until I was done.
