Heracles become descended from Perseus, king of
Mycenae. Electryon and Sthenelus had been each
sons Perseus. Electryon, king of Mycenae, and
father of Alcmene, left Amphitryon in charge
of Mycenae whilst he pursued the Teleboans to
avenge the deaths of his sons. But Electryon
turned into killed accidentally by a membership thrown via
Amphitryon. Amphitryon vowed to pursue
the Teleboans on Electryon’s behalf. Whilehe turned into away, Zeus took on his appearance
and described his victory over the Teleboans
in such convincing detail to Alcmene that she
standard him as her husband. By him she con-
ceived Heracles, but the next nighttime Amphi-
tryon again, and as a result, Alcmene bore
twin sons: Heracles, whose father became Zeus,
and Iphicles, whose father change
