Loving Him

Chapter 6

Aria's POV

I've been at Renzo's for a total of 4 weeks now. I miss my family and Thomas so much.

Since Renzo's 'punishment' we've spent a lot of time together. His little sisters, one who is 18, and one who's 16 are coming to visit him in a few days. I can't wait to talk to them. I hope they're nice.

Surprisingly Renzo hasn't had my beautiful Artwork covered yet. I think he sorta likes it.

I continue calling my mom everyday, and she's definitely calmed down. I think she's just confused why I'm staying here.

To be honest I am too. I mean I haven't been asked to do anything to benefit Renzo. Maybe he's just lonely and he needs a friend.

"Gattino, what are you thinking about?" his voice appears suddenly.

"Oh hi Renny, I'm just thinking about my family" I say a bit sadly.

I hear him sigh and sit down next to me. I lean my head on his shoulder, and he strokes my hair.

"You wanna go visit them?" He asks. "Are you serious?" I ask him. "Yup"

I shoot up from the couch and start running to my room to get properly dressed.

I hear him chuckle behind me.

A few minutes later in standing by the front door, trying to talk to the guard when Renzo comes.

"Aria, let's go little one." I frown at him. I don't understand why he calls me that. I mean yeah I'm short, but he's just giant.

"Okay big one I'm coming" I say and roll my eyes. He laughs and tickles my side.

When we arrive at my house I am super nervous. How are they going to react. I swallow my fear, and walk up to the front door.

Renzo is right behind me, which I appreciate. I knock, and the door opens

My mother's shocked face looks at me, before tearing up and grabbing me. She pulls me into a hug, I can hardly breathe.

I hug her back, I've missed her so much.

"And who the hell are you?" I hear her ask Renzo. "Mom, I think it's time I explained what happened the night I walked home from the library." I say quietly.

"Oh honey, can we wait for your brother's, they'll also want to hear it" she says, and I nod. "Oh, can you also call Thomas and ask him to come" I say. I've really missed him.

I turn back to Renzo who's awkwardly standing in the doorway. "Renny, come on, get in here" I tell him, patting on the seat next to me.

He awkwardly sits down. I stifle a laugh. "So, what's your name young man?" My mom asks. "My name is Renzo Romano" Renny states.

I see my mother tense up. Do they know eachother? "What?" My mother says quietly. "Are you by any chance related to someone called Marianne Romano?" She asks.

Then I see Renzo tense. "Yes, that's my mother" he whispers. He sounds really sad. "How is she? The last time I heard from her, she married someone named Alexander" my mom asks. "Dead" is all Renzo says.

My mom gasps and her eyes tear up. "No, she was my best friend" she says, and starts crying.

After a sad pause, my mother stands up. "Come here son" my mom's says, and I stare at her in shock. Renzo also looks surprised, but he goes to hug her.

"I wish I had known about you sooner" my mom says to him. "I wish I could've been there for you when it happened".

And that's when I see a single tear fall down Renzo's face. I decide that they probably need a bit of time together, so I sneak off into my room.

After 30 min, I decide to go down again. I see my mom and Renny laughing on the couch.

"I have two little sisters, Danielle, and Lily" Renzo says. "Oh, you should definitely bring them to visit" my mom says happily.

"Damn, I didn't expect you two to get along so fast" I say happily. Renzo laughs, and pulls me into his lap.

I blushed and looked at my mom who had a smirk on her face. This is embarressing.

They're still chatting when my brothers come in, as well as Thomas. "Ari?!?" They scream and I run to them. All 3 of them hug me so hard I think my ribs are cracked.

"Where have you been? We've missed you so much!" Nathan screams at me and twirls me around while still hugging me.

I separate myself, and grin at them. They smile back, but when they notice Renzo, their smiles drop.

"What's he doing here?" They mutter. My mom rolls her eyes, and tells them to sit.

"Okay guys, I'm going to tell you what happened the night I disappeared." I say. I sit down beside Renny and begin.

I got choked up in the middle, and Renzo pulled me into him. I gladly hugged him, while continuing my story.

At the end, my mom, was crying, my brothers looked like they were about to murder someone, and Thomas was extremely shocked and angry as well.

The twins got up, pulled me away from Renzo, and held me, while I started sobbing.

Thomas was still just sitting there, stunned. Then everyone started thanking Renzo for saving me.

"Maybe your not as bad as I thought" Nathan tells him and shakes his hand. Tyler agreed and also shook his hand. "Thanks for being there for our sister when we weren't" he says, sounding a but guilty.

I go and sit down next to Thomas, and pull him into a hug. He, to my surprise starts crying. "Ari, this is all my fault, I shouldn't have let you go to the library alone" he says sounding miserable.

I pat his back and reassure him it was not his fault, but mine, since I shouldn't have walked so late.

We hug for a few minutes, and when I get up I see Renzo looking in our direction with a scowl.

Hmm, right, I was going to introduce them to eachother, since they both scowl so much.

"Hey Renny, get over here" I call him. He sits down beside me, and puts his arm around my waist. I blush for like the 5th time today, but ignore it.

"Renny, this is Thomas, Tommy, this is Renzo" I tell them. They look at eachother and nod, still both frowning. I start laughing.

They both frown at me. You guys are so cute I say bopping them on the nose and getting up.

After catching up with Thomas and my brothers, Renzo tells me we should get going.

"Bye everyone" I say and they all look confused. I guess they thought I was staying. "Yea, Im going with Renzo I tell them." My mom nods, smirking, but my brothers don't look too thrilled.

"I'll see you guys soon!" I say and give everyone a hug. After our goodbyes I walk out if the house, with Renny's arm around my waist.
