Loving Him

Chapter 3

Renzo's POV

"FIND HER" I roar at my men. How did she escape. She escaped out of one of the most secure houses I own. "IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HER I WILL KILL YOU ALL"

I'm so worried about her. Even though I've only known her for 1 day, I don't ever want to let her go. My gattino. When I find you, you will be in big trouble.

Aria's POV

I am now in my own bed at home trying to fall asleep. But I can't. Whenever I close my eyes I remember that night.

His gross hands all over me. I start crying. I really want to sleep, I'm exhausted, but I'm too scared to.

I get up and walk to the kitchen. Then I have an idea. Renzo was so kind to me. And he still has my phone. I could call my phone and maybe he would answer and I could thank him and apologize.

So I use my home phone and dial my number. "Hello?" Comes a gruff voice. I recognize it immediately. "Hi Renzo, its me Aria" I say quietly. Nothing. Just us breathing. Then he hangs up.

I feel disappointed. Oh well. I head to bed feeling sad, and I slip into an uneasy sleep.

The next morning I wake up exhausted. I woke up 3 times last night with nightmares. I sort of wish Renzo was still here.

I get up and get dressed for school. My face looks terrible. I quickly take out some of my make-up and conceal my bruises and dark circles. I brush my curly hair and put it in a messy bun.

Downstairs my mom and brothers are having breakfast. I try to slip out the front door without them noticing. I really don't want to deal with an interrogation this early. I successfully slip out, but not before leaving a note saying I'm fine and on my way to school.

I walk, enjoying the freedom and fresh air. Nature has always relaxed me. The birds, trees, everything is just so beautiful.

Suddenly a car stops beside me and guess who jumps out? Chris. The most annoying person in the world. "Well hello there Aria" he says in a 'seductive' voice. Well what he thinks is seductive.

Renzo is the only guy with a sexy voice. I snap out of it. I'm probably never going to see that man again. "Go away Chris, I don't have time for this" I say.

He grabs me and puts me against his car. Memories of that night come back. I start screaming and crying when he doesn't move away. "Yo what the hell Aria" he says angrily. I continue sobbing. Chris looks at me weirdly. He lets me go as if I have some kind of disease and walk away.

I slump down on the curb, still lost in memories, when I hear a familiar voice call out. "Gattino what's wrong?" I look up and see Renzo's face. I get up fast and turn away, not wanting him to see me this weak.

But he stops me and pulls me into his chest. I start loudly sobbing again because I just can't hold it in anymore. He scoops me up, stroking my hair and walks to his car. But wait I need to go to school. I can't disappear again.

"No Renzo I need to go to school, please put me down" I beg him. 

He looks down at me. "gattino, you are in no condition to go to school right now.

I sigh and agree. If I break down everytime someone touches me I really shouldn't go. "Can you bring me home" I ask quietly. "NO" he says fast. "You are coming home with me." "No please my family needs to know where I am" I say desperately.

"Fine we can stop by your place. You can get some of your things and tell your family you're fine." "They won't let me go, you know that right" I say. "They won't have a choice" Renzo mutters darkly.

I shrug it off. Once we arrive at my house I run in, with Renzo behind me. The twins who don't have school today are on the couch watching something. My mom is at work.

"Tyler! Nathan!" I call them. They immediately get up and come to the door. When they see Renzo they scowl. I roll my eyes at them, and explain that I need to leave.

They start laughing. "The f**k you're leaving with him Ari" says Nathan strongly. "Yea Ari he also looks way too old for you." Says Tyler. I roll my eyes at them, and explain that Renzo's the one who saved me.

They still don't know from what, but I guess I will eventually tell them. "Look guys I love you, but I'll be back by the end of the day" I say confidently. Renzo frowns at that.

I pick up my things and start walking to his car. "Ari get your ass back here" I hear Nathan scream. I just close the car door. Tyler and Nathan come up to the car and start banging on the car trying to open in.

"I swear to God Aria if you don't get out of that car in 3 seconds" I hear Tyler, but by now we're driving away. I hear the twins swearing. My mom took our only car to work so they can't follow us.

I sigh and lean back. Renzo hasn't said anything. I stare at him. "Why are you doing this for me?" I ask him. He looks at me "you're mine gattino, only mine, and I'm never letting you go." I tense at that.

I need to be home before my mom gets back, which is 8pm. "No wait, I need to be back home by 8pm" I say panicking. "NO, YOU WILL NOT LEAVE ME" Renzo roars loudly. I shrink back. This man is bipolar or something.

I need to get out of here. He shot a man. Who is he anyways. Suddenly all these questions flood my mind.

We're moving fairly fast right now, but there's a patch of grass beside us on my side. I quickly undo my seatbelt and open the door to jump. "Aria what the f**k are you doing" he screams at me. I jump.

I see him lunging for me but missing. Then there's a lot of pain. "That was worse than I thought" I mumbled before I black out.

Renzo's POV

No no no no no. Why would she do this. I quickly stop the car and run to where she is. She's lying at an awkward angle, unconscious.

I can't bare to see her like this. I scoop her up, hearing her groan in pain. I lean her against my chest and start driving like a maniac back to my home.

It's like my gattino has a death wish or something. Walking home alone late at night, jumping out of cars.

I arrive at my mansion and quickly rush her to my room. My doctor is already here. She rushes in to check on her.

After a few min "Mr Romano, she has concussion, she skinned her leg, and a severely sprained wrist and ankle."

I close my eyes. This is my fault. I should have caught her. I dismiss the doctor after she's finished bandaging Aria up.

I get up and just stare at her. She's the most gorgeous woman I have ever met. Her long curly copper hair splayed out beneath her. She has gorgeous light green eyes that crinkle in the corner when she laughs. Her cute little nose and small, but plump lips are so enticing. But her skin, the huge amount of freckles, is just adorable.

I lie down beside her and wrap my arms around her. I fall asleep peacefully with my gattino in my arms.
