Loving Him

Chapter 10

Aria's POV

The next morning I wake up alone in Renny's bed. Hmm I wonder where he went.

I head down to the kitchen and start making some grilled cheese.  I know it's wierd to have grilled cheese in the morning, but I love it.

I still don't know where Renny is, so I decide to go look for him. His mansion is huge, and I still haven't explored everything.

I decide to start on the main floor, and after a while I see an open door.

There are stairs leading downwards, and I decide to follow them.

Maybe it's a recreation room.

After a while there's another door, and I open it.

I wish I hadn't, since I'm just in time to see someone being shot in the head.

His body falls splat on the floor, not that far away from me. I feel the urge to throw up.

"Who the hell are you?" I hear a gruff voice.

I look up and see the man who shot the guy staring at me.

He looks familiar. Oh s**t, he's the one who chased me the first time I came here.

I back away when he comes closer, his gun still in his hand.

I feel the door behind me, and he keeps coming closer.

"Oh it's the little slut from a while ago" he says, and caresses my cheek.

His touch sends shivers down my spine, and not the good kind.

"Stay away from me, Renzo will kill you if you do anything" I say trying to sound confident, but it comes out shaky.

"Oh, I don't see him here now, do you?" he grins evilly. I gulp. I need to do something.

Without really thinking, I knee him in the balls and he doubles over.

I quickly turn and try to open the door. f**k, it's locked from the inside, and you need a key to get out.

I dash away before he can grab me and try to find another door. This man killed someone, what stopping him from killing me, I think.

There's no other way out, so I crouch behind a table. I feel my phone in my pocket. Thank God.

I dial Renzo's number and call him. "Hey gattino" he answers after the second ring.

The man is now looking around the basement for me, so I mute Renzo before he gives me away.

"You b***h, you will pay for that" the man screams. I hope Renny's still listening.

I hear his heavy footsteps come to where I am. Silence, then his hand grabs me by my hair and yanks me up.

I let out a small scream, and he slaps my face. "b***h, you've made me f*****g mad, and I'm not very nice when I'm mad"

If I were in a different situation I almost would have laughed. He's saying he was being nice before!

He throws me to the ground and stands on top of me. I'm pulled up again and slammed against the wall.

I feel his hands go around me neck, and I start trying to punch his face. I land one to his nose, and it's starts bleeding.

I'm dropped, and I run back to the door, and run right into Renzo.

He storms in and locks his eyes on mine. I see his face is contorted in anger, and he rushes over to me.

He pulls me into his chest, and hugs me hard. I see around 3 men rush over to the man, and knock him out.

"Put André in a cell" he orders "I'll deal with him later"

He scoops me up and walks to his room.

He sets me down, and I see him squeeze the bridge of his nose.

"Renzo, are you okay?" I'm concerned about him, since he hasn't said anything yet. I expected him to go off on me about how I need to be more careful.

"No Aria, I'm not okay. He could have done anything to you, killed you even, and I wasn't there for you. In my own goddamn house. You should be safe here for f***s sake." He rants.

I walk over to him and pull him into a hug. "Renny, I'm fine now, and I was handling him pretty well anyways" I giggle, remembering his messed up nose.

"This is not funny, he's  dangerous, he's one of my most skilled fighters, or should I say was, since he won't be alive much longer" and an evil smile covers his face.

"You're gonna kill him?!"

"Yes, of course"

I gulp. He's going to kill someone because of me.

"I need to shower" I say and walk away. I know he's a mafia leader, but I guess I'm not used to him in his mafia boss mode.

When I'm done showering I decide to watch some tv in bed. After an hour I fell asleep, and was woken a bit later by Renzo trying to sneak into the bathroom.

I'm horrified when I see what state he's in. He has blood all over his white t-shirt, and skin.

I rush into the bathroom after him. He did this because of me, so I will help him clean up. It's the least I can do.

"Renny, let me do that"

"No, go to bed Aria, I don't want you to see me like this"

"Too late Renzo, I've already seen you. I just want to take care of you"

He doesn't reply so I pull off his shirt and throw it in a corner. He takes off his pants, and I take off his shirt that is as wearing.

We go into the shower, and I start cleaning off the blood. It's everywhere, on his face, arms, legs. It makes me feel queazy when I see the red color run down the drain.

Before I know it I'm pushed against the wall by Renzo.

"I love you gattino, so f*****g much. I don't deserve you. You're too innocent for my world, but damnit I will never let you go. I'm too selfish, and I couldn't bear to see you with someone else. I will kill anyone who so much as touches what's mine" he whispers, while his head is resting in the crook of my neck.

"I love you too Renny, I couldn't bear leaving you either. And don't ever say you don't deserve me, you saved me twice" I smooth down his hair.
