THE ANCIENT HUNT

THE GAME

"Why not let's start our own game? Morgan" she asked smiling sheepishly

"Always at your service my Queen" Morgan replied immediately and the turned back to leave the queen's quarters for the contestant's quarters

She marched into their quarters and her maids were about knocking the door when she told them to stop, they were discussing something about her and she wanted to know what they were talking about

"I heard she went to threaten the king, isn't she going ahead of herself?" one of them remarked

"I know right? she must have thought the space was meant for her but the King must have hit her where it hurts" another jeered and they all laughed

"Look at us here, we are daughters of governors and ministers who will be of help to the king, the king will definitely choose from one of us and discard her" one of them said and they all laughed at it before the door of the chambers flew opened making them startled

"I can see some conversations is going on here, is there anything for me to talk about too?" she said with fake smiles plastered on her face and they all reluctantly stood up to welcome her

"I don't think you have a space here in our conversation" one of them replied rolling her eyes

"I see! I sent for you all but you all decided to come when you all see fit, didn't they teach you manners during your lessons?" she asked and the atmosphere in the room was tense

"We believe we don't have a reason to cower in fear just because of some lady without rank or position" one of them stated and she smiled a bit before moving closer to her

"I don't know what you have heard or have been told but I am your senior in this palace, the king might have decided to call you here to play saying he will choose the queen from you but I can assure you that no one will take my place" she stated boldly

"You are just a pawn, stop getting ahead of yourself, you are just a maid whom the king is tired of her advances, you can't force him to marry you and he seems to have no use for you again" someone from their midst lashed out and Lebby tried her best to keep herself from slapping her

"I see you have been well informed about me and I wish you luck in the competition, see you all around some other time" she said between her teeth before turning back to exit the room

As she marched out of the room, she motioned for Morgan to follow her so she can give her instructions about what to do with them. Everything was prepared according to their plans and they all waited for the day of the first round.

The first competition came up and it was coming to present themselves to the king, the officials were there waiting for them but Lebby had already instructed Morgan to tell her maids about what to do to stop them.

The contestants' individual maids delivered their foods and they all settled down to eat on the long table in the general hall at the quarters. They munched the delicious foods down with the fruit juices prepared before moving to their rooms to have their make ups done. They were done and waiting for them to be called upon, when they were eventually called for to show themselves before the king and were on their way, two of them sudden cried out in pain as they held their stomachs

"I think I need to use the toilet" one of them stated and another held her belly too

"Same here, I might pass it out on my body if I don't get there now" the second person said squeezing her face in pain

"What do we do? the King is already waiting for us" their friends said showing concerns

"We will be there soon, you people should go ahead" one of the sick ladies said and they both turned to visit the toilet

They hurried to the restroom and met Lebby moving to the hall fully dressed in the best material and her face was painted with minimal make up, she was gorgeous even with the minimum make up and they couldn't help but acknowledge it

"What's happening? are you not coming with us to the hall?" she asked with a loving face but laced with sarcasm

"We need to use the toilet urgently, it seems we ate something wrong" one of them informed her and she gasped

"Oh my! what do we do? if you don't show up within the set time, it automatically means that you are out" she replied but they hurried out of her sight since they were pressed

"Serves you all right, make sure they never step their legs in the hall" she said to Morgan who bowed in response

Their maids stood with them to attend to their needs and when they came out of the toilet, they were served with a glass of lemon, they were told that it will calm them down till they are back from the hall

"Really? that's good, I really can't wait to get to the hall, I can't believe this is happening today" one of them said before grabbing the cup and downed her juice then the other followed suit

"Let's go" she said dropping the cup on the tray but as they reached the door, they whimpered in pain and held their grumbling bellies

"I think it's coming back again" one of them cried out and they both ran back to the toilet to let out another round while the maids exchanged glances and tried their bests to suppress the laughter they were feeling within

They continued to visit the toilet and couldn't attend the ceremony till it was finished and they were both cursing as they sat in their rooms crying about how they have been disqualified

The contestants trooped into the hall with Lebby being the last on the queue and the fathers of the daughters caught in the web of Lebby were looking around to see where their daughters were which only made Lebby smirked. She signaled to Morgan and the door to the hall was locked signifying that the event was about to start

"Two down, I will make sure none of you is standing in front of me at the final stage of this contest, you all should just wait and see the power the maid you all ridiculed and laughed at possess and I will make sure to wield the sword to cut you all down
