Chapter 4: The Betrayal

{Ashleigh PVO}

I was shoved into the Beta's office only to find his wife Annabelle standing there.

Alpha Ethan and his men followed in.

I was suprised to see my dad's warriors in the office as well.

"There is the contract Alpha Ethan. Now that myself and my wife are now officially Alpha and Luna of this pack to keep the peace we agree to the arranged marriage. But, in turn I am wanting to take down the Alpha King Shayne and take over his pack as well."

"What about the brother Aston? If he had to find out."

"Don't worry. I have her phone right here. She won't be able to contact him."

With that said I watched him as he throw my phone against the wall smashing it into peaces.

I am glad I memorized Alpha Dean's number.

He is the only one that can help me now.

But the Pack has betrayed my parents as well as myself and Aston.

"I will be visiting in the next six months with my son Keith so they can get to know one another."

No, no, no. Wait this is maybe the term oil the moon goddess was refering to.

Aston will be gone for four years and he does not have a cooking clue on what is going on.

I must figure out a way to let him know but, it won't be safe for him to come home specially that the pack has choosen Mathew and his wife and mate Annabelle to run the Pack.

He is after power.

"Thank you, if you will excuse us. Alpha, Luna"

Alpha Ethan nooded his head and left the office.

"Now, what to do with you?"

"Put her in the cell for the night love, maybe then she will learn to respect us as Alpha and Luna of this Pack. Thereafter, put her with the omegas that she can do hard labour."

"You make a convincing argument Luna. Yes the cell it is for the night. Derick take our little princess here to the cells and take her out morning light. She can make the Pack breakfast alone."

The nerve of this man.

"Bite your tongue Ash, we don't want to anger him."

Derick led me down to the basement to the cell.

"You betrayed your Alpha and your Luna don't you dare touch me."

He opened the cell door and shoved me in it locking the door behind him.

I started to feel weak and sick when I had seen the cell is layered with wolfbaine.

"Ashleigh is that you?"

"Sam, oh Sam."

I bursted out crying and fell on my knees to the floor.

My parents were gone betrayed by someone they trusted.

The pack betrayed my parents.

My brother is so far away I have no means of contacting him.

Alpha Dean, how would I get a hold of him.

Oh moon goddess I need your help.

{Mathew PVO}

"Derick put her in the cell in the basement and take her out at morning light. She can make the whole pack breakfast by herself."

I watched as he took her out of my office.

I was supprised that she didn't even say a word to me?

What happened tonight?

I had seen a light around her.

Seen her transform in the light but, I didn't get to see the colour of her wolf.

"Love, lets go to bed. It is quite late. The Pack has accepted us as the Alpha and Luna and tomorrow brings its own worries."

"I just cannot believe the Pack sided with us. Saying that the Alpha and Luna were being selfish declining Alpha Ethan's offer for peace between our packs. Just need to grow enough allies that we can over take the Alpha King."

"Alpha Dean is coming back in the morning. What are we going to tell him?"

"Alpha Whyette and Luna Gwen was attacked by rogues and Sam ran with Ashleigh back to the pack house. The wolfbaine is enough to put them in a coma for twenty-four hours so they will be in the pack hospital tomorrow."

"Ah, so my man has a plan that deserves a reward."

I locked my office.

"No one will worry us lets have some fun love."

{Sam PVO}

I felt the shift in me as soon as I watched my Alpha and Luna murdered by the one person they trusted the most.

All that ran through my mind was to protect Ashleigh.

I grabbed her and told her hold on and shifted into my wolf Arthor.

The warriors stopped us at the border.

They have sided with Matt.

I can't get her out of this.

I shifted back to my human form.

I cannot die.

I need to be here for Ashleigh.

It is a good thing I do not have a mate.

They would've killed her too.

"Take Sam to the cells. Bring Ashleigh to my office."

"Yes Alpha."

Of course Derick would be so far up Matt's butt that I would need a hose pipe and some toilet spray to get all the s**t off of him.

Even that would'nt even help.

I was shoved into a cell and started to feel the effects of the wolfbaine.

I have to protect her.

She is special.

She is choosen by the moon goddess.

"You betrayed your Alpha and your Luna! Don't touch me!"

I heard her being shoved into the cell next to me landing with a thud.

"Ashleigh?"

"Sam, oh Sam they are gone they are really gone."

I could here her cry.

"Don't worry kiddo you still have me all the way.

"He even took my phone... I cannot even warn Aston... I cannot even call Alpha Dean..."

She had sobs between her words.

"We will find a way kiddo."

I listened to her cry until there was silence.

She must be asleep.

I tried to stay awake but, this wolfbaine was making myself and Arthor fall asleep.

The next thing I woke up in the pack hosipital.

I could see Ashleigh lying in the hospital bed next to me.

I see Alpha Dean but, he was not alone the new Alpha Matt was with him.

"Rogues came out of no where. Alpha Whyette and Luna Gwen fort them as Ashleigh got onto Sam's back and he changed into his wolf running back to the pack house to keep her safe."

What a pile of s**t.

I waited for Matt to leave the room.

"Alpha Dean."

I didn't realise how corse my voice was.

"Sam, your awake."

He whispers.

"It is true?"

"No, it is f*****g s**t what he is telling you."

"Give me time. I will try get you and Ashleigh out. I will call Rodger and tell him to ensure that when they are done with training Aston must come home with him"

Matt walked back into the room.

I closed my eyes to pretend I was still under.
