Ragini opened the door as the doorbell rang.
"Mr. Sanskaar Maheswari?" the postman asked.
"Yes. He lives here." She replied.
He handed her an envelope.
"Thank you Mrs. Maheswari." He said after she signed the draft.
She gave her a smile and he left.
She opened the envelope. It was some official papers. The Paris enterprises, the deal on which Sanskaar was working so long, he had lost it. Actually, there was misunderstanding. The deal was finalized with Maheswari's only, but in the Mumbai Branch. With Lakshya Maheswari.
Ragini couldn't think what to do. She had seen Sanskaar working so hard for this. How can she let all his labour go to water like this? She decided to talk to Lakshya. She called on his cell but he didn't picked. She called his office, his secretary told he's busy in meeting.
She called him many times but got some excuses. It was enough. She took the next flight to Delhi.
Ragini reached the office.
"I want to meet Mr. Lakshya Maheswari." She told in reception.
"Do you have appointment?" she got a reply.
"Tell him, Its Ragini."
The receptionist talked to Lakshya on phone and told Ragini to wait.
"Is he in meeting?" she asked.
"No ma'am. He is in his cabin."
Ragini got it. He was playing with her. She marched towards his cabin and slammed his door open. He stood up from his chair with his coffee cup in hand.
"What the hell!" he yelled.
"Exactly!" she barked back. "What the hell?"
They looked at each other in disgust.
*Mumbai*
"It was your duty to inform me." Sanskaar fumed at his P.A.
"Sorry Sir."
"Keep your sorry with you, ok?"
His financial advisor had quitted the job. No notice, no applications, nothing. On one side, the Paris reports were yet to be come, and on other, the advisor left. He was fed up! He sat on the chair with his palm on his forehead. His landline went off and he was informed that a girl wants to meet him.
"Tell her I am busy," he said irritated.
"Her name is Swara." He got the reply.
It took a moment for him to understand what he heard.
"Who?" He asked to confirm.
"Swara, Sir."
He took a deep breath.
"Send her in."
He cut the phone and asked his P.A to leave. He was feeling restless. He heard the knock and she stepped in.
"Hello, MR. Maheswari." Swara spoke as she found sanskaar just gazing at her. "May we..."
She asked signaling the seats.
"Yeah, yeah. Sure!" Sanskaar replied and both sit.
"How are you?" he asked.
" I have heard, you need a financial advisor urgently?" she asked totally ignoring his question.
"Yes."
"I can help you with that." She said with a smirk.
Sanskaar looked at her confused. Is she really offering a help?
"But, why do you want to help me?" he asked.
"I have my own reasons." She smirked again.
Sanskaar couldn't get why was she doing this, but he was thankful to her. He badly needed an advisor.
"Thank you Swara, thank you so much. You don't know what have you.."
"But I have a condition." She cut her.
"What?" he asked.
*Delhi*
"What brings you here?" Lakshya asked angry.
"How can you do this to him?" she questioned back.
"What have I done?" he asked in a stern voice.
"The Paris deal was his." She replied the same.
"Look, I am a business man, and I want only profit!"
"He had worked day and night only for this." Her voice became soft.
"As if I care!" he replied.
Ragini couldn't believe her eyes. The one who was ready to die for sake of his brother, today, don't even care about him.
"I never knew, someone can change this much!" she like taunting him.
"Oh please!" lakshya taunted back. "Everyone knows who's changed."
"You may have millions in your bank account Mr. Maheswari, but you don't have heart of a rupee!"
"Speak with respect, Ragini!" he yelled. "I am your Husband!"
Ragini let out a sarcastic laugh.
"So, you remember." She said folding her arms near her chest.
"What do you mean by that?" he spoke in a angry tone. "It was you who left me."
"It was you who forced me!" she said with greeted teeth.
Lakshya rolled his eyes and then smirked, thing something.
"Fine, I will transfer the Paris deal to Mumbai branch for Sanskaar. But I want something in exchange of this." He said with an evil smile.
*Mumbai*
"Ragini will kill me for this." Sanskaar said.
"I don't care about what she does with you. If you are ok with my condition, I will do the job. " she sounded professional.
"But..."
Swara stood up.
"I don't want any more discussions. You have three minutes Mr. Maheswari. And your time starts now."
"But Swara, try n understand. What you are saying..."
"Two minutes left."
Sanskaar thought for a while. Ragini would never agree for this. But he needs Swara's support. He has to do this for his company.
"Time's up. Time's up Mr. Maheswari!" Swara said and opened the door.
"I am ready." Sanskaar said his head down and Swara smirked at him.
*Delhi*
"But, what will I tell to Sanskaar?" Ragini asked.
"That's your problem. Not mine." He said sitting back in his chair sipping his coffee. "Call me if you accept this condition, or else... forget about the deal."
"How can you do this?" she asked in a low dim voice.
"You never know," he came closer to her ears. "My beloved, Wifey!"
