“Okay, just… ask him,” I muttered to myself as I paced around Elijah’s room, waiting for him to come back.
Hunter had gone back to do some work and keep an eye on Archer. Apparently, Elijah’s cousin—who I had no idea even existed—was a half-blood, and Archer had found out she was his mate. For some reason, though, she didn’t want him and preferred to live in the human world. So Archer was a bit on edge and needed a distraction, which I completely understood.
