Ava’s phone buzzed. She cracked one eye open and groaned when she saw the name. Alfie. “Hope someone died,” she muttered, checking the time. “I need a favor,” Alfie snapped. No patience for her sarcasm. “It’s three in the morning,” Ava hissed. “Unbelievable,” Alfie sighed. “Open the damn curtains, sis. It’s noon.” Ava blinked in confusion, then rolled onto her back with a sigh. “Fine. You’re excused. What do you want?” “You still friends with that guy from the observatory?” “Yes.” Her eyes slid toward the naked man stepping out of the shower, grinning at her. “Ask him for the key tomorrow evening.
