Chapter 7

Gabriella had a lot of fun relaxing for the rest of the day and the next morning being Monday, she got up, got dressed for work, and made her way to Prime Enforcement Agency. "Greetings Miss Gabriella ! There is an urgent meeting going on right now. President Hugo asked that I inform you to get involved." Lucia, her secretary informed her the moment she stepped her feet in her office. "I see! You may leave." She signaled, and Lucia walked out. Gabriella sat on her seat and became curious. What sort of impromptu meeting could be going on right now? She thought and after making sure everything was fine, she got up and walked into the meeting room. Everyone's eyes were wide open as she walked in and sat on a seat closer to President Hugo . "Morning everyone!" She said and went mute. A few answered her in pretense while the rest, who were actually young women, chose to remain mute, visibly showing their resentment for her, but Gabriella never gave a f**k about them. "It's good you are here Agent Gabriella . Everyone here has one or two things to say about this low-profile but strongest organization that exists to never quit. We need to put them in check. Agent Cristina says she's got this and almost everyone thinks she's the best for this job. What do you have to say?" She asked for her opinion. Gabriella then turned and looked at the Cristina he was talking about and couldn't help but chuckle. "It's obvious she thinks the Gonzalo cartel are some little thieves from her hometown. I don't support that she goes after them. I'm not entirely against her bravery. I just think there is too much for her." She gave her two cents and watched as Cristina and her cohorts in the meeting room glared at her. She didn't care though. "If you think she's not worthy, how about me?" Agent Andrea chimed in. "I don't know about you. You have no substantial record to show us." Gabriella responded and watched as her cheeks turned red. "Coming from an agent whose legacy is fading. You can never handle the Gonzalo cartel." She spat back visibly pissed. "At least I build a legacy that could be at risk right now right? Andrea , you have no legacy at all! Who's worse? Get a life girl!" She spat back. "Enough! We have better things to do than to sit here and argue." Hugo said, stopping them. Suddenly, something crossed Gabriella 's mind. The way in which these bitches spoke to her in the presence of the boss spoke volumes. It was something she had never seen before. She had to turn to look at Hugo suspiciously and watched as he avoided her gaze. She then smirked. After the meeting, she stormed into her office looking more pissed than ever as she then sat down on the seat and slammed her hands on her table. "f**k! f**k all of you bitches!" She cursed and turned her chair to face the window as she then started into the space. Tired of being looked down upon, she got up and left her office. She stepped into the president's office in the agency without knocking on the door and saw his secretary preparing to leave. Seeing Agent Gabriella , his secretary bowed a bit as though she was nervous and walked out with the documents in her hands under Gabriella 's intense watch. After the door of his office closed, she placed both of her hands on his table and looked at Hugo deeply. "What do you want?" He asked her, still avoiding her gaze. "So you now go about f*****g bitches in the company?" She questioned him and he was stunned. "Do you want to make more good babes for the agency, or do you just want to be f*****g everything wearing a skirt here. "You are getting things wrong trust me. I just want peace and liberty in the company. And I would never f**k random bitches. I love you too much for..." "Don't you dare tell me about love? You know I don't believe in that s**t!" She spat and sat on his table, taking a deep breath. He then got up from his seat and walked towards her. "Tell me what you want." He said and she turned to look at him again. "I want to be licensed to bring down the Gonzalo cartel. Just that and we are good." She replied to him. Hugo froze. "But I thought..." "Hugo I am the best for this. Trust me when I say no one else can do this but me." She told him, and he stared at her, a bit confused and trying to figure out what she was up to. "I just gave fears." He stated. "About what exactly? Me?" She became confused about his words. "oh right! Those bitches right? They wouldn't give you the cookie if you don't bend to their will?" "It's not about that. It's about you. Going after the Gonzalo cartel is like life and death. If you don't capture them, they will capture you." He finally stated his point. "I would rather give up my life than not attempt bringing that organization into books. They have to pay for all of their crimes. I will make that happen." She was very determined. "I'm the best for this job." "Make me believe!" He then said and she nodded and walked out of the office. He then followed behind. She drove me out of the company and drove downtown to a warehouse no one knew was still existing. When she got there, she brought out a card from her pocket and slid it into the door. The door was able to open after that. "Come in!" She said to him, and he walked in, shock evident on his face as he wondered what the hell they were doing there. It was a long walk but finally, they entered an elevator that took them straight into the basement and stopped them at the front of a room. She slid in another card that gave them access, and the moment she pushed open the door, a young woman was revealed. Hugo froze as he stared at the young woman sleeping peacefully in the room. The room had good air conditioning, nice space, food, and a whole lot of things that could make her live comfortably. The only thing missing in the room was the internet, telephones, and a computer, stopping her from having access to the outside world. He wasn't done looking when Gabriella then closed the door and dragged him out of the warehouse, making sure she had everywhere locked. Back to the car, Hugo sat there, mesmerized as he looked all over to be sure no one was watching them from a distance. "Who the f**k was that young woman?" He then asked her and she stared into his eyes deeply for a very long time before taking a deep breath. "That's Vega Gonzalo !" She revealed. Hugo froze in shock. It took him a while to process what she had just said and when he finally got it, he flinched up in complete shock and stared at Gabriella scarily.
