Carter's POV
"Let me go! Let— Let me go!" I shouted as I struggled against the restraints, desperate to break free. "I have to help him!"
But I was outnumbered, and the door creaked shut behind Kyle, trapping him on the other side. My anger boiled over, and I launched myself at Bob, fists flying. "You coward! You're going to get us all killed!"
But my attack was short-lived, as the sounds of fighting and snarling from the other side of the door caught everyone's attention.
The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the door. I strained my ears, listening to the sounds of struggle grow fainter, and then suddenly, the snarling and screeching stopped.
The silence that followed was oppressive, and everyone's eyes widened as they heard the unmistakable sound of Arachnes being slaughter
