Chapter 7

The next day came and I woke up early. 7am isn't too bad. I opened my eyes and smelled breakfast downstairs. I smell pancakes. I quickly washed my face and hurried downstairs to the kitchen. I see Noah in his usual cooking style (topless, apron) and served heart-shaped pancakes. He offered to give me maple syrup and goodness! I'm drooling!!

"What do you want?" He asked. "Coffee, tea, or me?" He said in a seductive tone as he stares in my eyes.

"..you.." The words that unexpectedly flew out of my mouth. In total embarrassment, I looked away and ate a lot until my cheeks are full. He laughs.

"You're so cute" He said. That made me blush. He's just looking at me. As I'm eating, he stares at my face and finds an angle to laugh at. He suddenly held my cheeks with both his hands. I had no choice but to look at him straight in the eye. "You're so adorable"

I blush much more and pulls away from him. "God! Stop complimenting me as cute and adorable, do you wanna see me tomato red?!" I complained. And he just smirked.

"Oh do I?" He said as he's doing a diabolical smile. He walked around the counter and finally reaching me. He stared for a moment and hugged me unexpectedly. He suddenly went to my ears and whispered. "You're beautiful"

UGH THE COMPLIMENTS ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

I ran off to the living room and took a pillow. I fought him off with it and I hid in one of the closets full of sofa drapes, curtains, and blankets. I can hear his footsteps coming.

"Come on out, here's your cookies!" He's bribing me. Ughh why does he even have to have delicious cookies. "If you come out, I could give you the whole jar" The whole JAR? nonononooooo

"If not, I'll eat them all" he said. Eat them all?! Nooooo! I burst out of the cabinet and fell on the floor. He ran to me as he helped me stand up, still holding the cookie jar.

"You better have my cookies" I said as I cross my arms. He held the jar of cookies in front of me and as I was going to take it he asked for a kiss "In the cheek only pleaseee"

He placed the jar in the table and offered his cheek. I was about to kiss his cheek but he turned around and we kissed. He suddenly ran upstairs and closed his door. I heard his door shut closed and I was blankly staring at space. I felt my cheeks got warmer and a blush can be clearly seen.

Ugh why does he have to make me feel bad for leaving? I can't leave him when he's always gonna do this to me. But I gotta think of the future. After I'm done with my mission. I'll get to spend time with him more. I'll do my best to finish this real quick and get my normal life for once.

I finished breakfast and rushed to my bedroom. Preparing my stuff and I texted Vilea that Noah's coming with me.

Vilea: What?! Why?! You know my place isn't a safe place for him!! The weapons!! And security system!! W-we gotta meet somewhere else!

Me: Ohh!! right!! right!! Sorry I forgot! Meet me at the café at your street. Diamonds Café is it?

Vilea: Yeah yeah, meet yah there. 10am

Me: See yah

I clearly forgot Vilea's house has weapons and a strict security system. It might consider Noah as an intruder or something like that.

I wore one of the dresses Noah bought me because, yes, I don't have anything else to wear besides those. The dresses are quite comfortable but IT'S EXPENSIVE. The price kills me. I wore a sunflower to dress paired with a pair of yellow closed heels. I went down and I see Noah waiting by the door. As he saw me, he just stared at me with extreme awe. I reached him and just stood in front of him.

"What are you looking at?" I asked as I looked away, shy.

"Something's just missing" he said. He hurried upstairs and left me confused. Something's missing? What is it? He rushed back to me holding a big sun hat. He lets me wear the hat and..

"This will make you look perfect" He said as I blush bright red. "Shall we go?"

He offered his hand to hold mine and we went out together. I'm happy.. We just walked because he said he wanna spend more time holding my hand before we part again. I just wanna spend time with him more.

"So where's her house?" He asked.

"Her house? We're not going to her house anymore, she said she just wanna meet us at a café on her street" I explained.

"Oh us?" He asked.

"If you want to?" I said. I'm wasted..

"oh, I'm sorry but I got a meeting later and I need to go on a business trip somewhere here so I won't be home for sometime.. I hope you understand" He said. It broke my heart.. but on the other hand, it's good to my mission I could focus more. But I'll be missing him so much. We just met yesterday and we're going to part after a day.

"How long is your business trip?" I asked so I'll be ready when he's home. I could also inform the boss about my day off's.

"Probably a month?" He said. A MONTH?! B-but I'll be a-able t-to focus right??

" T-that's great" I said stammering. I slowly let go of his hand and.. why did I do that? I started to walk faster than him. Leaving him.. I started to see the café. I'm almost there. I just need to pass by this park. I feel like my tears start to fall bit by bit.

"Babe.." I hear him say as I walk faster. He suddenly takes a grip of my arm and pulls me into a hug. "I'm sorry.. please forgive me" My tears starts to fall. I want to let go but he holds me too tight.

"Let go" I say but he doesn't listen. I just surrendered and gripped his polo the tightest I could. I don't want to let you go yet.

My love, I want still want to be with you. A day isn't enough. A day isn't enough for us to be us. Having ourselves wrapped in each other's arms as we lay beside each other in bed. We still got a lot of things to try together. You and me, Just you and me. Chasing each other by the beach, we'll kiss under the moonlight sky. I can't even wait since you're here. In front of me. Sad I couldn't do anything even though you're here. I just don't want you to go yet.

"I'm sorry" I said. I just got emotional so much. I wiped my tear with my hands and I avoided looking at him because my face is full of emotional tears.

"You don't need to hide your tears, darling." He says as he holds my cheeks. He looks me in the eyes full of passionate love "You don't have to hide it anymore, I'm here"

He draws me near his face and kisses my forehead. The sweetest kiss I had for years. He pushes back and pulls me close again to give me another hug.

"Don't cry anymore, love" He said. The sense of relief flew on my skin. He loves me and I'm just being emotional about it. I need to stop being stupid.

"I'm sorry..."

"I know, I'll be back before you know it, now let's go, we don't want to get you late from your meeting with Vilea" He said as he held my hand.

We arrived at Diamonds Café and I see Vilea sitting on our usual spot (not really). She spotted me and waved hi and as she saw Noah, she was in awe. Well, maybe finally meeting her best friend's boyfriend for 6 years, is kinda too much. We're now in front of her and she stood excitedly. She then notices my dress.

"Nice dress dudette!" She said, amazed. "Are you going to the beach?" She said as she laughed, as well as Noah.

"I-uhh" why am I stammering? she then turns to Noah.

"Hi! you must be Noah!" she said excitedly, she took his hand and she did a handshake. "I'm Vilea, short for Havilea"

"Yes, I've heard of you, and your doings with her" He said as he puts his other hand on the top of my head. He does love the fact that I'm smaller than him.

"oh please, there's probably more you need to know about this woman" She said as she smirked at me. I got a bad feeling about this..

"I would love to listen but I got a business trip and I gotta pack my things" He said, Vilea's face turned into a joyful face to a quite confused one.

"SO SOON?!" She shouted. Causing customers to turn to us. I suddenly shushed Vilea and she offered to take a seat.

"How long?" she asked. and we answered together "A month or so" She chuckled.

"You both just met yesterday and after a day you're about to part again?" she asked. "Would you guys be able to handle it?"

"Yeah, we talked about it a while ago and—" I was cut by Vilea as her face glared at me.

"Is that why you cried?" h-how did she know?!?

"What? me? cry? Nahhhh" I accompanied with a smile. A fake smile.

"Stop lying" She suddenly said. Sounding pissed "You're a terrible liar" I was trembling then...

"Yes, she cried" Noah answered. He wrapped his arms around my shoulder, reassuring me that he'll be back. "We talked about it and I told her after probably a month I'll be back to her. She told me she's going to help you with your editing" She looked at me as her eyes saying what. and my eyes telling her I had no choice.

"Yeah she did" she said. "But, damn it, I forgot my laptop at home"

"I guess you guys just need to go to your house" Noah said as he stood. "I should go now, by later afternoon I'll be heading on to my business trip" He held my hands and stared deep in my eyes

"I'll be back. Please wait for me" He smiled and gave me a kiss on the back of my hands.
