Chapter 2

I wake up to the soft glow of my alarm clock, feeling the gentle buzz of the vibrations beneath my pillow. I stretch arching my back and extending my arms above my head, working out the kinks from a restless night's sleep. I rub the sleep from my eyes, feeling the softness of my luxurious bedsheets beneath me. As I sit up, the room comes into focus - the sleek lines of modern furniture, the floor - to - ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light and the crisp white wall with neutral light that seem to glow in the morning sun. I swing my legs over the side of the bed, feeling the calm and quiet of the morning and groggily make it to the bathroom to get ready.

After my refreshing shower, I stand in front of my gigantic wardrobe contemplating what to wear. I choose a dress that's more daring than my usual Monday wear - a bright red body hugging sheath dress with a subtle asymmetrical neckline and a dramatic flared hem. The stretch fabric clings to my curves, accentuating my waist and legs while the bold color commands attention and makes a statement. I pair it with a pair of black stilettos and a simple silver bracelet, letting the dress be the star of the show.

I wanted my makeup to match my bold look, so I add a bit more dept and dimension to my look. I apply a slightly darker shade of eyebrow to create a subtle smoky eye effect and line my eyes with a brown pencil to define them. I also add a swipe of black mascara to make my lashes pop. My lips are a natural shade of pink but I add a hint of gloss to give them a subtle shine. I look back into the mirror and whisper 'damn' under my breath. I looked glamorous. I didn't know what prompted me into this look today but I loved how I look. I slip my mask of being the world known heartless boss Sasha Vaughn of Luminaire luxury, a company topping the charts and although just five years in the game has countless rivals. However , no one, absolutely no one f***s with Sasha. I grab my keys from the entryway console table. I decided to go with my Bentley continental GT today since it's just collecting dust in my garage.
