I finally made it back to Reed Manor after a long, silent taxi ride. The driver had given me curious glances in the rearview mirror, probably wondering why a young she-wolf from a respectable pack was traveling alone without luggage.
My hands trembled slightly as I paid the fare. The humiliation of being abandoned on the roadside by Ethan still burned fresh in my mind.
