Chapter 10: Tied Together
Everyone becomes selfish when it comes to the things they deeply desire…
We all become possessive when it comes to that one thing we want only for ourselves.
But it’s no longer right when that selfishness reaches the point of holding and controlling someone else’s life—especially when that life isn't ours to control and we have no right to claim it.
It’s no longer right when we become so selfish that we can’t even stand on our own two feet and end up depending solely on people we believe we can manipulate.
Because of excessive selfishness, many things, people, or things we value may slowly slip away due to our self-centered desires.
That’s why God gave us our own hands, feet, and minds—so we can stand on our own.
