When I got home, I couldn't help it, as soon as I closed the front door, the tears I've been holding back started pouring out of my eyes. I tried to stop them but I couldn't, I was so hurt. I leaned on the door and tried to wipe my tears away.
"Vanessa, sweetly what are you doing here? I just got an email from school saying-" My mom's voice was getting louder and louder as she walked to the front door where I was laying against. She stopped talking as soon as she saw me and my wrapped up knee.
"Oh baby what happened?" She asked and gave me a hug.
"I-I fell,"

"It's okay," she said and patted me on my back.
"But it hurts,"
My heart hurts.
"The pain will fade eventually, just sit down on the couch and I'll give you some ice," she said and I nodded.
