Eyes darting open, Ayla sat up in bed with a flash to look around. The odd sensation of being watched felt heavy in the back of her mind and weighed on her chest. It didn’t help that she was in her new room and it was pitch black. After the coronation the night previous, the rest of the events were a blur to her.
