ADRIAN POV
I shouldn't have proceeded with this blind date plan, it sucks me out.
Have Rose did this on purpose?
I shot her a death glare, she's just few tables away waiting patiently for me.
I turned back to the Rachel Newton, the Ms. Blabbermouth--
I couldn't believe I'd let my mom talk me into this blind date. Rachel was...a lot. Her non-stop chatter was like a never-ending nightmare, and I couldn't get a word in edgewise.
As we sat at the restaurant, I found myself zoning out, trying to escape the barrage of words coming my way. I nodded and smiled, pretending to listen, but my mind was elsewhere.
Why had I agreed to this? I was a busy man, with a company to run and deals to close. I didn't have time for this...this...whatever this was.
Rachel's voice droned on, and I felt my frustration growing. I glanced around the restaurant, searching for an escape route, but it seems we're stuck in a cozy booth with no easy exit.
I caught Rose's eye across the room, and she just shrugged and grinned. I'd kill her later.
Rachel's hand touched mine, and I jerked it back, trying not to be rude. But honestly, I just wanted to get out of there before I lost my mind.
How much longer could this date possibly last?
"How was your date tonight bro?". Daniel snickered as he sat on the barstool beside me. I've called him over for a drink because I have to vent.
"You looked wrecked bro!". He looked around, "Where's Rose?".
I raised my brow, "Asking for her at this time?".
Just then my phone buzzed with a text from Rachel,
'Hey, had a great time tonight! Can't wait to do it again soon'.
I stalled by typing a generic,
'Had a great time too, will talk soon', before I tossed my phone.
"I can't do this".
I shook my head.
Daniel let out a stifled laughter,
"How is Rose coping with her cruel boss after the string you'd pulled at the conference room?".
Is that actually a rhetorical question right now?
Though I felt bad earlier but--
"But she's not affected by it". Daniel was amused.
"Wow! What a strong woman, but you really have to be working on your arrogance ".
I snarled, "I'm just controlling, not being arrogant ".
He raised up his two hands, "Fine!". I slowly sipped my whiskey.

ROSE POV
This is the fourth blind date now and Sir Adrian haven't found his perfect match.
Is he playing hard to get?
The worst of it all is the calls and texts I had to recieve from his previous dates because he refused to give them his private line thereby using mine.
What a coward!
He never told me thier flaws but with the looks for it, he is typically uninterested.
If his dates are not blabbermouth, she will be a psycho, if she's not the other way round then she's definitely 'The Know It All'.
I know it may sucks but it's nice to see him taken down a peg.
"We even had to take an helicopter down to Florida, I'm fed up mate".
I cried out as Anna sympathetically patted my back.
"And I wish I were you all these while".
Anna retorted.
"Are you being serious?".
I was shocked.
"You're the talk of the office, even Kira can't dominate you. I never knew you were a wonder woman". She smiled.
I eyed her, "Yes, I guess I am".
My intercom buzzed almost immediately, Anna had visited my workstation instead.
"Yes sir.... copy sir".
I ended the call and banged my head on my desk repeatedly.
"Guess someone wants to see you". Anna teased.
"I rarely get my eight hours sleep". I frowned.
"Aww! The boss likes you".
My eyes bulged, "Wait, what?".
She hushed and gently walked away,
"I didn't say anything".
I rolled my eyes, "Better!"
....
As I stepped into his office, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The room was a shrine to his own ego, with framed magazine covers and artwork that seemed to scream "Look at me!" The plush carpeting and mahogany desk only added to the sense of opulence.
My eyes wandered to the floor-to-ceiling windows, where he stood gazing out at the city view, no doubt admiring his own reflection. The crackling fireplace and sleek wine fridge only added to the sense of pretentiousness that filled the room.
The personalized rug and exotic plants seemed like over-the-top touches, designed to showcase his refined taste.
As I approached his desk, he turned to face me, a smug smile spreading across his face. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he turned abruptly.
Smile playing on his lips ..... He'd done something mischievous again.
"Have you made reservation for the dinner meeting with our clients at 2 pm at Bistro Bliss because we'll leave in five".
I quickly checked my wristwatch, isn't it supposed to be by 3 pm this is just 2.
Seeing the shocked and perplexed look on my face he added,
"I rescheduled the time, so are we ready? They can't be there before us".
"What?". I don't know when I yelled out.
He rescheduled and didn't tell me on time?
If he knows how to set meetings and reschedules why hire a PA then?
"Do we have a problem, Ms. Clifton?". His look, impassive.
I have not even made any arrangements there is a problem.
