KIARA’S POV
I waited until the twins were asleep before I told him.
Kael was sitting on the edge of the bed, loosening his shirt sleeves like he was finally allowing himself to breathe after a long day.
I stood by the door for a moment, just watching him.
He looked up immediately.
“Kiara.”
That one word already told me he knew something was coming.I walked in slowly and sat beside him.
“Celeste spoke to me again.”
His jaw tightened, but he didn’t interrupt.

“She told me she’s drawn the line.”

“What line?”
