Four months.That was how long I had been gone.Four months tracking rogues and helping one of our allied packs clean up a mess near the northern border. It had been exhausting, but I had missed home.
More importantly…I had missed Kael.
Kael and I had grown up together. We had trained together, fought together, and gotten into trouble together. Everyone in the pack used to joke that one day we'd end up together.Not that either of us had ever confirmed it.
Still…A part of me had always believed there was something there.
