KIARA'S POV
Fear showed up in his eyes.
"Tell me everything " he said.
For a moment I could not say a word. My hands were shaking inside his as tears kept falling down my face. The pictures from the visions appeared in my mind again. I saw blood and people screaming and dying.
Kael held my hands tighter.
"Kiara look at me " he said.
I slowly looked up at him.
"Whatever it is we will face it together " he said.
His words almost made me break down.
I took a breath and started talking.
"I saw bad things happening " I said.
His face became serious away.
"I saw our friends getting hurt. I saw blood everywhere. I saw bad people coming after us " I told him.
He did not say a word he just listened.
"I saw a man named Stefan " I said.
His eyebrows came together.
"Stefan?" he repeated.
I nodded my head.
"I do not know who he is or why I know him. In the vision he helped me. It felt so real, Kael. It felt too real " I said.
He gently wiped away my tears.
"What did you see?" he asked.
My heart felt heavy.
"I saw you " I said.
He became stiff.
"You were fighting " I told him.
My voice was shaking.
". Then..." I could not say another word.
His hand squeezed mine.
"And what?" he asked softly.
I closed my eyes.
"You died " I said.
The room was quiet.
I heard him take a breath.
It was not shock or fear that I heard. It was pain. He knew how much his death would hurt me.
I opened my eyes. Saw sadness in his eyes.
"I held you in my arms " I whispered. "I watched you die. I screamed, but I could not save you " I said.
New tears fell down my face.
"I failed you " I said.
Kael immediately pulled me into his arms.
"No " he said.
His voice was firm.
"No, Kiara. You did not fail me " he said.
He held me tightly.
"You hear me? You did not fail me " he said again.

He kissed my forehead.
"And I am here with you " he said.
I put my face against his chest.
"I do not want to lose you " I said.
"You will not lose me " he said.
"You do not know that " I said.
"No " he said. ". I know one thing. I want to grow old with you " he said.
I laughed a little through my tears.
"But that was not all " I said.
His face became serious again.
"What did you see?" he asked.
I swallowed hard.
"The bad things will not stop " I said.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Our enemies " I said.
At once his body became stiff.
"What about them?" he asked.
I lowered my voice.
"In the visions they kept coming after me " I said.
His eyes became dark.
"Over my body " he said.
"They want something from me " I said.
His jaw became tight.
"I know " he said.
". If I do not go back to them..." I said.
Fear took over my heart again.
"I saw myself suffering " I said.
His face changed.
"What happened?" he asked.
"My babies " I said.
His eyes became wide.
"The pregnancy became difficult. Something bad happened to them " I said.
Tears streamed down my face again.
"I do not know what but I know danger is coming " I said.
I put my hand over my stomach to protect it.
"I will not let anything happen to them " I said.
"Nothing will happen to them " Kael said away.
"But if going back to our enemies is the way..." I said.
"No " he said.
His voice was loud.
"No Kiara " he said.
His Alpha power filled the air.
"I will not give you to those people " he said.
"They will come after us " I said.
"Let them " he said.
"Kael..." I started to say.
"Let them " he said again.
His eyes were burning with determination.
" long as I am alive no one will touch you " he said.
I stared at him.
"No one will touch our children " he said.
His voice became soft.
"You are my mate " he said.
His hand was on my stomach.
"And these babies are my children " he said.
His eyes were filled with emotion.
"I thought I would never have a family " he said.
His fingers touched my cheek.
"I will fight the world before I lose any of you " he said.
New tears fell from my eyes.
"You really love them " I said.
He smiled softly.
"How could I not love them?" he said.
His hand was still on my stomach.
"They are ours " he said.
I laughed a little.
" after all the bad things that happened?" I asked.
" after all the bad things " he said.
He kissed my forehead.
"Nothing will take my family away from me " he said.
For a while we did not say a word.
Then his face changed.
"There was something was not there?" he asked.
I froze.
Chloe.
The picture came back to my mind.
The betrayal.
The pain.
Her face.
Kael noticed.
"What is it?" he asked.
I did not know what to say.
"I saw Chloe " I said.
His eyebrows came together.
"What about her?" he asked.
I did not know what to say.
"In one of the visions... She did something to me " I said.
There was silence.
Kaels face did not show any emotion.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"I do not know " I said.
"I do not understand it " I said.
"She was helping the people somehow " I said.
"But it did not make sense " I said.
I shook my head.
"Chloe loves me. She is my sister " I said.
Kael nodded thoughtfully.
". " He asked.
"And I hate myself for thinking about it " I said.
"Do you trust her?" he asked.
"Completely " I said.
I did not even think about it for a second.
"I trust Chloe with my life " I said.
His eyes became narrow.
"Why are you afraid then?" he asked.
"Because the vision felt real " I said.
He leaned back.
"Tell me something " he said.
"What?" I asked.
"How much do you know about Chloe?" he asked.
I opened my mouth. I did not say a word.
"What?" he asked again.
"Her family " he said.
I frowned.
"What about them?" I asked.
"Who are her parents?" he asked.
I opened my mouth again. I did not know what to say.
He noticed.
"Where was she born?" he asked.
"I..." I said.
"What pack did she come from?" he asked.
I stared at him.
"I do not know " I said.
His eyes became dark.
"Brothers?" he asked.
"No " I said.
"Sisters?" he asked.
"I am not sure " I said.
"Any relatives?" he asked.
I swallowed hard.
"No " I said.
He became quiet.
A strange feeling came over me.
Because he was right.
Chloe and I grew up together.
She was always there for me.
Somehow...
I knew almost nothing about her family.
No stories.
No family visits.
No names.
Nothing.
I looked up at Kael.
"That sounds bad when you say it loud " I said.
His face was serious.
"I am not saying she did anything " he said.
"I know " I said.
"But is it not strange?" he asked.
I felt a chill run down my spine.
"Yes it is " I said.
Kael nodded.
"Very strange " he said.
"But she would never hurt me " I said.
"I hope not " he said.
His voice was calm.
"I truly hope not " he said.
He held my hand again.
"But until we know what these visions mean, do not trust anyone much " he said.
My heart felt heavy.
Not Chloe.
Please.
Not her.
Kael kissed my forehead again.
"Get some rest " he said.
"What about you?" I asked.
A dangerous smile appeared on his face.
"I am going to make sure our home is safe " he said.
His eyes became dark.
". If those bad people think they can take my mate and my children..." he said.
The Alpha inside him came out.
"They will learn why wolves fear their Alpha " he said.
For the first time since I woke up I realized something scary.
The war I saw in my visions...
