CHAPTER 15: UNQUESTIONABLE TRUST

CHLOE'S POV

This was really bad. I was standing by the kitchen window stirring my tea. I felt very uneasy. Kael already thought I was suspicious. I saw it in his eyes earlier when we talked. Kael was not stupid all. He had asked me questions that Kiara had never asked before. He asked about my family. Where I came from. These were questions I did not have answers to. Maybe I had answers that I could never give to Kael or Kiara.

I let out a sigh. This was very bad. Because once Kael suspected something he would keep looking for answers. If he kept looking he would find out things that I did not want him to know. I was worried about what Kael would do if he found out the truth about me, Chloe.

"Chloe?" I jumped a little when I heard Kiaras voice. I turned around and Saw Kiara standing in the doorway. My worries went away for a moment. I felt relieved. She looked better still a bit pale, but better. She was beautiful, like always. I smiled at Kiara.

"Hey sleeping beauty " I said to Kiara. She smiled back at me. It was weak. "Can we talk?" Kiara asked me. There was something in her voice that made me pay attention to what she was saying.

" of course Kiara " I said to her. She walked towards me. Sat down. I sat down opposite Kiara. "What's wrong Kiara?" I asked her softly. Kiara looked nervous and scared. She was fidgeting with her fingers.

"I need to tell you something, Chloe " Kiara said to me. I frowned. "You know you can tell me anything, Kiara " I said to her. She smiled sadly. "I know, Chloe "

The room was quiet for a moment. Then Kiara took a breath. "When I was unconscious " Kiara started to say. Her voice was shaking. "I had visions " Kiara said. I nodded slowly. "The witch doctor told me " I said to Kiara.

"No " Kiara whispered. "Not dreams, Chloe." Her eyes were filled with fear. "They were real " Kiara said. My smile went away.

"What did you see?" I asked her.

"I saw things " Kiara said. Her voice cracked. "I saw attacks." "I saw blood." "I saw Kael die " Kiara said. My eyes got wide.

"Kiara " I said to her.

She looked down. "I saw you, Chloe."

Something inside me felt weird. "Me?" I asked Kiara. She nodded. "You betrayed me " Kiara said. For a second my heart stopped beating. Not because of what Kiara said.

Because she told me Chloe. That was a mistake. A terrible mistake.

I made myself stay calm. "Kiara " I said to her. Tears were in her eyes. "I know it sounds crazy " Kiara said. "I know " I said to Kiara. "I know you would never hurt me " Kiara said.

Kiara kept thinking about it. She looked very sad. Seeing Kiara like that hurt me. Because despite everything Kiara was my friend. Kiara was my sister. Kiara was the thing I had to family. I reached across the table. Held Kiaras hand.

"Look at me Kiara " I said to her. Her eyes slowly met mine. "Kiara listen to me " I said to her. My voice was soft. "I would never hurt you Kiara " I said to her. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I know " Kiara said. "No " I said to Kiara. I squeezed her hand. "Listen carefully Kiara " I said to her. "I would never hurt you Kiara." "Never " I said to her. "Not you, Kiara." "Not your babies." "Not Kael." "Not anyone you love Kiara " I said to her.

"I would never put any of you in danger " I said. My words seemed to help her. The fear in her eyes went away. Then she smiled. A real smile. She looked relieved.

"I needed to hear that Chloe " Kiara said to me. I smiled back at her. "Then hear it times as you need Kiara " I said to her. Kiara suddenly hugged me. I hugged her back tightly.

"Thank you Chloe " Kiara whispered. "I'm sorry Chloe " Kiara said. "Sorry for what?" I asked her. "For doubting you " Kiara said. I chuckled quietly. "You don't have to apologize for being scared " I said to her.

She laughed quietly. "I feel much better " she said. "You should Kiara " I said to her.

She pulled away. Wiped her tears. "You're my sister, Chloe " Kiara said to me. "You're mine Kiara " I said to her.

Kiara smiled brightly. "I love you Chloe ". "I love you too Kiara " I said to her. Kiara kissed my cheek before standing up. "Kaels probably looking for me " Kiara said.

I laughed. "He definitely is, Kiara " I said to her. Kiara giggled. "Thank you Chloe " Kiara said. "Anytime Kiara " I said to her. Kiara gave me one hug before leaving the kitchen. I watched her go down the hallway.

The smile on my face slowly went away. The room was quiet. I closed my eyes. "Oh Kiara " I whispered to myself. "You should never have told me " I said. My eyes looked out the window. Because now I knew Kiara remembered. Not everything,Enough. Enough to be dangerous.

Kael already suspected me,Which was not good all.

Everything would change. None of them were ready for what I am.
