KIARA'S POV
The moment the golden light entered the nursery, every candle in the room extinguished at once.
Darkness swallowed everything.
Only the tiny orb continued to glow, floating silently in the air.
Kael immediately stepped in front of me and the twins, his wolf growling deep inside him.
"What is that?" Liam asked, reaching for his sword.
The witch doctor suddenly raised her hand.
"No."
Her voice was barely above a whisper.
"Don't touch it."
Everyone froze.
The golden light hovered above Rowan's crib before slowly drifting toward the center of the room.
Then...It stopped directly in front of me.
I stared at it, my heart pounding.
"I... I think it wants me."
The witch doctor's eyes widened.
"It recognizes your magic."
"My magic?"
She nodded.
"Reach for it."
