CHAPTER FOUR:CARRYING POWER,CARRYING WAR

KIARA’S POV

Chloe, wait what do you mean ?…. What is the doctor trying to say?… I’m pregnant with twins? I mean how is a one night stand supposed to get me pregnant even after I used a protection spell on myself not to get pregnant and now I’m actually pregnant with not just one but two freaking babies.

“Kiara you have to relax you just got out of coma and you panicking this way could send you back straight to coma …you have to relax we will figure this out”

“Chloe you expect me to be calm I can only remember having a very hot s*x with a guy I barely know and now I’m waking up in a freaking hospital and hearing I was in a coma and I’m also pregnant with twins ….i mean I’ve had countless s*x with other guys but I haven’t gotten pregnant …so I mean how different is the guy that I got pregnant despite using the spell?”

“Then maybe he isn’t just an ordinary human,You’ve clearly slept with a lot of guys to get over your ex this summer and haven’t gotten pregnant and now mr mystery guy shows up and you are carrying his babies.”

“All this is too much for me to take in right now just get your things together Chloe we’re going home I need to access my grimoire to know what’s going on” I said to Chloe while removing the needles from my hand.

FEW HOURS LATER…..

I and Chloe got home and I immediately rushed into the bathroom crying.

“These babies aren’t safe with me Chloe and I’m not safe either”… what the f**k have I gotten myself into?

“Chloe please pass me my grimoire” I said walking round the room with my hands shaking.

Immediately she passed the grimoire to me. I sat down for some time before opening it and immediately I did . Suddenly, I was taken over by a vision.

There was a man in the shadows, two kids, and some beast. "What did you see?" She asked me.

"I don't know, it wasn't clear. Something about a man, two kids, and a beast." I said,

"Who is this vision for?" she asked.

"I have no idea. I don't usually get random visions unless they are for someone.

The only way to know if it is serious is if it comes up again." I explained. She extended her hand's palm up.

"Place your hands here. I'll see if I can pinpoint who it's for," she said. I placed my hands on top of her.

The second I did, both our eyes went black. We were walking through my subconscious. It would explain the vision more and give not only a name but also tell more. The more we looked, the clearer it was. We saw a woman this time; she was clearly pregnant.

That explained the two kids. The more we walked through, we saw the man and the beast; they were intertwined. They were linked almost like they were the same. We kept walking. A name showed up, Kael Mooncrest. We were almost at the end, and as we walked, we saw the final picture.

It was a mirror. Looking into it, I saw myself. I was confused. Why was I here? Looking in the mirror, I noticed that I was pregnant, and the man/beast was standing behind me with his hands placed on my stomach. We were instantly taken back to reality. I got up and paced around the room, trying to make sense of what I saw.

"I don't understand. What does it all mean?

“It means he’s a werewolf Kiara that explains why the spell didn’t work and that’s why you are pregnant.”

“But Kiara what do you mean by you aren’t safe and the babies aren’t safe and also they are gonna come for them …who’s coming ? I’m totally confused here.

“Chloe a few years ago before I left the coven I made a deal with our coven leader and the elders saying if I was to ever get pregnant the baby would belong to them and if I refuse to hand over the baby to them they would kill me .”

“But I mean we aren’t even sure if these babies are witches or even like the beast we saw in the vision sorry werewolf, all this are just too much for me to take in.”

"Woah, calm down. If the coven comes after you, I’ll be here. I will never let them take those kids away, "she said.

"No, no I don't want these kids. I don't." I screamed,suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I fell to the floor screaming.

"What the hell is going on?" Chloe asked.

"It hurts so much," I said. I saw my veins turning black. I screamed even louder. Chloe took my hand trying to figure out what was happening to me. She came back and looked at me in horror.

"Those babies are killing you. They're angry that you said you didn't want them. You have to take it back, or the pain will keep increasing ." She said.

"Okay, I'll take it back. I take it back, please." I said, slowly the pain resided. She helped me up onto the couch.

"These are some powerful babies. You can't let the coven get them. We have to get out of here.

There is no way they didn't feel an intense power like that one." She said,

"Where would we go?" I asked her.

'The father. Kael, considering these babies are already these strong despite not being born yet and the black veins that comes out on your hands whenever you talk ill of them we only need to find out if they are both witches or werewolves or one witch and one werewolf”

If there is one thing witches hate doing, it is crossing a pack of wolves." She said,

"How do you suggest we find him?" I said,

"Simple, we let the babies guide us. They are connected to him, meaning we can use that to track him." She said,

"What do you expect we do when we don’t actually know if he’ll accept the babies as his ?”

I asked her.

“You know what Chloe, let's pack up what we need and get the hell out of here. The coven must have sensed them by now. I can set a cloaking spell, but it won't last for long."

We started packing and headed out. We just needed to get out of this town. We started our tracking spell and made our way to Kael.

We have been driving for less than forty-eight hours. I was already so tired and so was Chloe.We had a head start before the coven found out about these two buns growing inside of me. It would be at least a day or two before they felt the babies magic and headed after us.

We stopped and got some more food for the road.

I grabbed some money and headed inside the gas station. Everything looked good to me, I guess these little ones were hungry. I bought food and headed out. Walking out, everything in front of me went black.

"What the hell?" I said out loud.

"Do you really think you can run from us? We are always with you dear." I hated that voice, I turned around and saw my old coven leader Seraphine vail.

"You leave me alone. I'm out of your coven.

You have no control over me." I said

"Oh but you see I do. We made a deal, the second you had a set of twins you would return them to us. You understood that in order to leave the Coven you had to make a deal." She said

"How am I even pregnant? I spelled myself making sure I could never have children for this very reason. Unless the coven had something to do with it." I said.

"We weren't going to let you just walk away, how do you think a Coven survives? We make sure no one can leave, and if they do, we make sure they come back. Do yourself and those babies a favor and just come back to us willingly." She said,

"The only way you are getting me and these babies is over my dead body. Follow me if you want, just know I'm not giving up without a fight." I said, "Now get out of my head!" I yelled.

My reality came back.

"Woah you okay there?" Chloe asked

"Seraphine just paid me a visit, she knows about them. Our trip just got fast-forwarded. We need to hurry up and find Kael, his protection means everything." I said, Just like that, we were on the road again, this time not stopping unless necessary, we needed to find him. The fate of both my life and his children were on the line if the Coven found us.
