Celeste’s words stayed with me long after she walked away.Something about the smile she’d given me.Something about the warning.It bothered me.
But more than that, it hurt.Because despite everything, I had genuinely liked her.
I didn’t want enemies…..I didn’t want jealousy.I just wanted peace.
And lately, peace felt impossible.
By the time evening arrived, my head was pounding from thinking too much.
