I Won't Bow

The event.

I woke up and noticed that mom wasn't there.

When I stepped out of the room I gaped, our gathering hall had turned into a palace.

It was fancy earlier but with all the decorations done and the food that mom had put together it looked like we were inside a royal paradise.

"Amber! Amber! Finally you're here!!"

Cornelia and Camelia ran at full speed at me and almost knocked me over on the impact.

"Cornelia, Camelia... what's happening?!"

While our gammas, beta and alpha were like my brothers Cornelia and Camelia were like my sisters. They always goofed off and had some plot going on. They were much older than me but I know that if we were the same age we would have been besties.

"Aren't you as exited as we are about the event?!?!"

I frowned.

"Well it would be nice with a Luna for Alex and some epsilons because I can't stand the idea of those six being lonely and I would like to be aunt but that goes without saying... However, when you find your mate then I would be heartbroken as well as happy for you. I would miss you so you better visit me."

Since they were 25 and without a mate, that meant that it was very likely their mate was from a different pack. Usually that meant they had to move. Since they were beta born it was a high probability that they would get a mate who was gamma, beta or alpha.

I did like the idea of them being Luna but I didn't want them to move. I would rather want them to be Luna of our pack.

"No silly billy! Aren't you exited for you?!"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, don't you turn eighteen now?"

I smiled and shook my head.

"No, that's Jenny! I'm sixteen still"

"Oh yeah... right... I wished you could turn eighteen soon!"

I laughed.

"So now that we cleared up my age, will you be exited for your possible mate now?"

Cornelia and Camelia were born as twins which meant that they would have a split soul already so the mate they would have would either be twins too or only one they would share.

This wasn't something odd, it was normal for twins or triplets or quadruplets etc. to share a mate, some didn't while others did.

They also shared strength, so together they would be the strongest.

Cornelia and Camelia was a little different. For instance, the quadruplets were equally strong in most aspects but they had one thing each that they were stronger in. Jimmy was faster than the others, Justin was smarter and then I mean a lot smarter, James was slightly more muscular and stronger in a raw strength perspective. Jonah... well I'm sure he was stronger in something...

Anyway, together they were like a stronger person but they could function by themselves too.

Cornelia and Camelia was not. Cornelia didn't have a wolf, she was strong humanwise but she never shifted.

In most peoples eyes she'd be the same rank as me. Camelia had a normal wolf but wasn't much stronger than a strong delta.

They did have Luna characteristic and if they had been Alex mates then that wouldn't have mattered.

I just wished that their mate would accept them and see their strength they truly possess.

When I thought of them getting a random alpha and leaving I whined and gave them a big bear hug.

"Promise me you'll visit every week!"

They laughed.

"We promise!"

"Yeah or at least call to update you!"

"Besides... You need to visit us since you'll be our future pups godmother silly!"

I squeled and hugged them tighter.

We left each other when we heard a car closing in.

They got ready for the mating event while I went to the training area. It would be empty because of the event, only a few older warriors were there.

I was allowed in there to train if I wanted to but it wasn't mandatory for omegas to be there. I think I was the only omega that knew of this place.

My dad used to train according to my mother, but only after she got pregnant with me. She had told me once that she thought it was because he felt the need to protect his family and that even though he was omega, he should know how to protect his family.

I like the thought of my father being in the training area. Even if he wasn't as strong as a warrior he did his very best and he managed to protect his family.

I wouldn't waste that, I need to be stronger and be able to protect those close to me.

"Lulu! Hello! You've actually become really strong"

I turned and met Jonah's big brown eyes.

"Jonah... what are you doing here?! The event is about to start and you aren't even dressed!! What if your mate is here?!"

He laughed and waved it off.

"I promise you Lulu, When I find my mate, it won't matter what I wear. Also I seriously doubt that my mate will be there tonight"

I frown.

"Why would you doubt that?"

He shrugged.

"I just do."

I shake my head and hit him lightly at his chest.

"You should go there, it might be fun! Alex, Chris and your brothers will be there you know!"

He nod.

"I would rather be here, training with you"

He did behave odd but I didn't push it further by question him more. Instead we started to train.

For one hour we trained until we both laid on the mat exhuasted and laughed. I was out of breath and yet all I could think of was the event and the possibility of all my friends finding their fated mate.

"I wonder how it goes, don't you?"

He was dead quiet until he suddenly laughed.

"Cornelia and Camelia found their mate."

I sat up wideeyed.

"What who?!! How can you tell?!"

He looked at me and smirked.

"I'm psychic."

At first I just stared at him then I felt really dumb because he had obviously mindlinked one of his brothers.

"Mindlink..."

He laughed.

"Correct."

"Anyway, who?!!"

"An alpha from a smaller pack..."

"Which pack?"

He looked at me then bit his lip.

"Moon fury..."

My eyes almost popped out of my eyeholes and I felt how my mouth gaped.

"D... d... Did you just say a smaller pack?!! Jonah, you do know it's one of the largest most ruthless packs we have alliance with?!!"

He shrugged.

"It's not bigger than ours though..."

"Yeah it is!"

"Maybe in members but not in space nor strength."

I waved that off because we didn't know that for sure.

"So... how about the rest?"

He smirked.

"Are you interested in our love life Lulu?"

I hit him lightly and got up to wash off.

"Don't worry Lulu, we only have eyes on our true mate"

I tilted my head and lifted an eyebrow.

"You know who your mate are?"

He nod and got up after me.

"I've known since I was a little kid. It's just that there are rules against telling the other person before they turn eighteen."

I nod.

"But at least you have one and can keep them safe until then so that's good. How did you know since you were a kid? I thought only eighteen year olds can know for sure"

He chuckled and grabbed my chin.

"It's a secret."

I felt my cheeks blush because we were so close, I wasn't used being so close to others.

"Jonah, stop teasing me."

He leaned closer, I could feel his hot breath tickling my neck as he whispered in my ear.

"Who's teasing you?"

I lost myself for a second and couldn't remember what we were talking about.

"Can you keep a secret Amber-Louise?"

Hear him say my full name made me wake up from my trans.

"I want you to be my mate"

I stiffened and stared baffled at him as we now were face to face.

I felt my cheek and knew that they probably were crimson right now.

He couldn't hold it in any longer so he burst out laughing.

"You should see your face!!!!"

He laughed while I glared at him.

"Jonah you should seriously not joke around like that! You scared me!"

He held his stomach while he laughed and I decided to leave him like that.

I wanted to see if anyone besides Cornelia and Camelia had found their mate.

I stopped in my track when I saw Jenny in front of me. She had her back against me and looked toward someone inside the packhouse.

"Mate!" She said with her awful voice.

I looked at the direction her head was at and I froze to stone. My body went cold.

No. please goddess no was what I thought.

Alex stood next to Chris and looked toward us just as stunned.

"Mate!"

A male voice then growled.
